@Splash Kid There was a clan camping nearby, and some children were playing there. They noticed that they were being surrounded by shape-shifting bears. They heard a voice tell them to stay where they were, and the ground under them began to raise up higher and higher. The bears eventually left, and the Children wondered how they would get down. The voice told them to wait, and some very large birds would come to take them down safely. The Indigenous Tribes People call that place Bear Lodge. The Colonist changed it's name to Devil's Tower.

@NOTTHASAME
@NOTTHASAME 3 жыл бұрын
Easy on your firm thinking , you are wrong ! Devil's tower is a foot of a giant that drowned during the flood. The bone eroded and all that was left was the achillies tendon above ground but down deeper , about 3 stories is the rest of the foot. Can't be a tree because tree or wood can never turn into sobe or basalts , science calls basalts CAC03 , calcium carbonates. It can't be wood because wood grains are not vertical, it can't be a tree stump or volcanic because there's no sulfur present. Look at a picture of the achillies tendon in human's and you will wobder no longer. Some say the want to know the truth but most don't have room for truth in their heads. Most are so indoctrinated ti necer think outside of the academic box or for themselves and stay within the confines of guessing, much like science does, later they come back to say they were wrong. You wanted to know what it is, now you know !

@@NOTTHASAME do u have any sources? I believe in giants but also believe it to be a petrified tree stump and wood grains not being vertical? By that time the siblings were long gone. Now they rest as the pleiades cluster system. Native American culture.

Just because something looks like a giant tree, doesn't mean it is. You can clearly test the composition & figure that out. We have petrified trees, fossils of trees & plants, and know quite a bit about the world's climate... not to mention there would obviously be others out there in the world if they were even remotely THIS massive. It's like people just decided "yes, we can judge a book by it's cover" and "it's what's on the outside that counts!" If you ignore all the evidence & what it's composed of, sure... it's a tree?

According to historical accounts in every civilization around the world, there were also Giants who raised mountains and created rivers, valleys, and in many cases aided the local tribes. We can assume that every one of those stories from every one of those civilizations is a lie, or we can start to look for evidence, rather than dismissing something out of its uncomfortable nature. You'd need to spend a couple months of research to get a clearer picture, including associating these accounts with satellite imagery of the Earth, and other sources.

It's an ancient volcanic plug. Hard igneous rock formed from a magma plume and was surrounded by the softer sedimentary rocks present in the upper crust. These softer rocks eroded away by weather over millennia, exposing the hard columnar stone. The lesser known Missouri Buttes are composed of the same material, of the same age. They are less than 5 miles away from Devils Tower.

If this were a petrified tree stump then it would have had to have been covered by either fluid rich sediment or volcanic ash. As it is 386m tall I highly doubt this to be the case. It's a volcanic neck. It's the remnants of a volcano that stood there at one point in time. The surrounding material has eroded away and left the basalt formation that we see here today. Basalt is a very dense and strong rock, resisting erosion for millions of years. The pacific northwest is full of examples and in fact there are some really good examples from around the world. Not that complicated actually.

Seems like the core of an extinct volcano from which the dirt part of it has been eroded a way.

Have you ever heard of the electric universe theory or Thunderbolts project. They theorize it was caused by a massive electrical discharge event. They have even done plenty of experiments on KZbin by Billy yelverton. Andrew Hall of the Thunderbolts project is an awesome researcher into that subject.

It looks like it is the product of plate movement, which lift it up. Its rock happened to be stronger than the one surrounding it.
