The update we hoped never to make

We've tried to be super cautious about what we share about Naomi's diagnosis and prognosis. But Naomi has always held true to being honest about something that affects so many people globally; both as survivors, supporters and those that are living with cancer. And having had you on side for so long we wanted to give an honest update. We had a plan as everyone does; but we know this disease has other plans. We're not unrealistic, but to live each day in hope and light is our best bet right now xx

Immunotherapy is very good. My own mom is currently on it. She was first diagnosed in 2018 with cervical cancer. She was good after treatment for about a year and a half before it came back and spread into her lymph nodes. It is now what they call a "chronic" issue. There is no way to get rid of it. Just extend her life, comfortablely. She has been on it for about a year and has done fantastic. I hope it will work for you too, Naomi. ❤

Wow. I was diagnosed with grade 4 brain cancer in 2021 days after I had my first and only baby, I had a craniotomy and didn't have a recurrence until this Christmas. I'm due to start chemo and radiation in the next few weeks and I was feeling so sad about having to do treatment but watching this has really given me a wake up call as to how fortunate I am to be even doing treatment. Naomi, you are incredible- so inspiring and so strong. I am praying that this is one more obstacle that you will hurdle, but whatever happens please remember the incredible impact you have had on the lives of so many. After you bravely shared your story I summoned the courage to go to the doctor after experiencing scary symptoms of my own. I found out that I had chronic anaemia that was so bad I was at risk of heart failure, and was affecting basically all of my internal processes. I was immediately admitted for blood transfusions and follow up tests. A year later I am now healthy and managing my anaemia, and I might not be here if it wasn’t for you!! The love and pride your family has in you shines out, and (as someone who lost my mum to cancer when I was a teenager) I can promise that you will continue to be their guiding light whatever happens. I am sending so much love and will encourage everyone I know to donate to your ongoing treatment. ❤

My Uncle lived with lung cancer for 15 years. Yes definitely hope as they gave him only a few weeks to live. Take each day as it comes. He was on a breathing machine most of the time, but he lived his best life. Keep strong 💪 and i wish you all the best.. xx God Bless xx

You are really doing each other proud I’m so glad you have each other and I’m so sorry you’re going through this 😢 I lost my mum suddenly to cancer and it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever had to deal with.
