The Upper Genessee River, Trout fishing paradise, by Marc "Tex" Wilson

The video begins with a few pictures leading up to the stretch of the river featured in this video, accessible near Weidrick Road in Stannards, N.Y., just outside of Wellsville. The Marc "Tex" Wilson original, "Urban redneck," will play during the opening slide show. The actual start of the live narrated video footage will begin at 0:22. The dam will be showcased at this point. At 2:36, the rig used to bait a salted minnow will be displayed. Marc "Tex" Wilson will briefly be shown working a salted minnow with the current from above the dam at 3:29. A rainbow trout caught in the white water swirls below the dam will be featured at 3:52. A few popular spoons that work effectively in the faster moving water will be shown at 4:33. A look at the calmer waters above the dam will appear at 5:13. A brown trout caught above the dam will be showcased at 6:34. A look downstream from above the dam will be at 7:01. Fellow KZbinr, "Sportswolf3," will be seen fishing the slow deep whirlpool just below the dam. A tagged brook trout left over from the annual Wellsville trout derby, caught by Sportswolf3 in the whirlpool, will be featured at 7:54. A look underneath the bridge on Weidrick Rd. & extending downriver will be at 10:03. The closing slideshow of additional photographs of the river, & of the surrounding Wellsville area, will close out the final leg of the video. The Marc "Tex" Wilson original, "Space ghost," will play as mantage music during the final slide show.

Fished this spot the other day water was clear and i could see bass but they wouldnt bite no trout in sight . Also the gold 1/8 little cleo worked best for me 😊

Pretty sure the entire river is open all year
