I am in desperate need of comfort. :( Today I had a class, with my entire generation in the university, the teacher was checking attendance and when it was my turn, he looked at me (I have a pixie cut, perhaps a bit shorter than yours), and asked me (in the loudest voice) "What did you cut your hair for?" and I asked "What do you mean with that?", and he just asked again "What did you cut your hair for!?" while shaking his head and continuing with the attendance. I felt so humiliated. Not only did he implied I look like shit, but he also said so in front of my entire generation. I just feel really sad and insecure right now. I love my pixie cut, but being told you look ugly in front of 60 people just felt like too much.

I remember getting my pixie cut three months ago and I was so scared to go to school the next day. Surprisingly everyone loved it and some people even suggested cutting their own hair. I have been looking for to cut my hair that short like yours for a long time now -like one and half year-. One of the reasons I want it so much is that because my hair is curly like yours, and I kinda find it difficult to style so I straighten my hair most of the time and it ends up losing its health day by day. If I have a pixie cut, my hair will look much healtier and cuter I believe. Last time I visited hairdresser he said the hairstyle I wanted to have might not look as good on me because my hair is curly, thick and difficult to style. Everything you said is so true!! You look amazing with the pixie cut. I did it back in July 2015 after having long hair my whole life. I never thought it would suit me, but my stylist said it would. so I went for it. And I love it so much! I've tweaked it over the months and love it even more. but very true the first week I would love it and then get frustrated and feel ugly sometimes. I absolutely love my pixie hair!! It’s the shortest I’ve gone so far and yes I cried for a couple of days because the hairdresser went tooo short but guess what? I totally love it now!! Haha. I’d like to add that I have oily skin and hair and have to wash my hair only a couple times a week! It doesn’t get oily except for bangs which I use dry shampoo sometimes. Lastly my Hubby never told me he has always had a thing for girls w short hair so when I cut it off he was very happy and decided to let me in on what he prefers. Which I’d known sooner!! I had a longer pixie cut a few days ago but I had to cut it a lot shorter. Like Anne Hathaway post Les Mis short. It was about Carey Mulligan's length when she filmed the great Gatsby a few days before but when I washed it for the first time in about 6 days, there were still a lot of damaged pieces from before. Well my hair keeps sticking up and I can't get it to lay down right. I have tried some hair oil, and even a very light spritz of hair spray, all the way to wetting the spot so it can dry right. Nothing has worked. Can you recommend anything to me? My hair was previously bleached and it sustained a lot of damage. I cut off the dead parts but it's still a bit fragile so I don't want to do much heat styling or use drying hair products.

When I was 13 I got a pixie cut and my friends HATED it. Probably because I didn't get the right style for my face. But all the same I loved it and I am probably gonna do it again soon in a different style, a couple years later. The point is, you only live life once, don't let people who are supposed to support you in the things you love hole you back. I think you should do it :).

yes, definitely do it if you want it!! A lot of people were like "why did you cut all your beautiful hair?" -.- but people get used it to it and eventually shut up ahah no one looks bad in a pixie cute, it's like a red lipstick... There's a pixie style for everyone :) x

My niece got a pixie cut or a very short hairstyle fitting to young girls when she was 8. We talked about it with her, and how it might be looked at, she thought it was funny and still wanted it. She loved the idea of no tangles and less possibilities of lice issues, now shes 9 and still has it!

+Christalein123 Thank you!! There are tons of different pixie cuts so you can really get away even with a high forehead bc you can do a cut with bangs. Às vezes tenho uma vontade louca de fazer isso, mas o que me assusta mais é que quando depois quiser deixar crescer o cabelo, aquela fase entre tens um corte pixie e tens um corte mais comprido é terrível. É a fase ; mas este cabelo não é carne nem peixe!
