The whisper in your ear whilst being hugged tightly. So romantic and private, and sweet. Not one single word spoken so softly is real or true. Not one word is to be trusted. The truth they speak are the insults, filled with cruelty and lies, both often said with a smile, and humor. Those are very rarely whispered, and when they are, the menace is unmistakeable, and often heartbreaking. He never apologised. He never did anything or said anything wrong. He implied a great deal, though. Soft threats with a smile. Thank you HG, as always. The information you put forth is invalubale.

I know that being an empath is a strength because it involves the ability to feel deeply, understand others, and create strong, meaningful connections. Yet, I sometimes think that it is precisely this empathy that makes one especially vulnerable in a world where narcissists and other manipulative individuals exploit it for their own gain. Thank you for the insight, HG 🙏❤

It's not a strength - it is a weakness. There is no advantage to what we are. I wish I was narcissistic. I'd be invulnerable to the narcissist, selfish enough to take care of myself and people would probably stay away from me. I wouldn't need to control people, or crash through boundaries or lack empathy completely. I would be perfect

@CamCam-mq6ji I understand your perspective - and I think I can sense the pain behind it. ❤ And YES, being an empath sometimes feels like a huge weakness. I agree. But still, I believe - and hope - that it is a gift that allows us to create connections, heal, and find meaning in ways that narcissists never can. Their 'invulnerability' is an empty, hollow, and repulsive façade, while our 'weakness' makes us authentic and real. Our challenge must be to learn to protect ourselves and set boundaries while preserving our weakness - or rather, our gift - of empathy.🥀🌻🙏

Have you met my ex-husband? Sounds exactly like him. Thank you HG for my ongoing education to help me understand the 15 miserable years I spent married to him.
