For everyone saying you don't like this song because it sounds different from their old stuff, then you aren't really a fan of the used. It's okay to say that you don't like it because you can't relate, or the hook doesn't grab you. But to expect a band to continuously make the same kind of music and never evolve as musicians is dumb. Artists are going to experiment and it's not always going to be perfect. IMO, this song is great. It doesn't have the feel of the older albums, they've added tons of elements from other genres. It sounds more upbeat and I enjoy the melody and runs. Does it give me that nostalgic feeling? No of course not. But it is refreshing. Also, I've seen a few other people say it, but I'm going to reiterate that the used is better live than on their albums. I can't explain it. The raw energy Bert has.. and to the people who said the used hasn't been good since before lies for the liars, I highly recommend listening to vulnerable. It took me a while to get used to it but now it's one of my favorites.

Totally agree. The Used has got me through so much. (Which I always felt that to be odd seeing I've never actually met them.) Seeing them live is amazing, you can feel the emotion in the lyrics so much clearer. It gets me pretty rattled when people complain about artists mixing thing up. I mean, people change in general, I know I was a completely different person in 2007 (the year lies for the liars was released) to where I am now. I don't know if the way I explained that would make as much sense to someone else as it does when I think about it... But the point is, I understand where you're coming from dude :) have a good one

carlyplowman they still have it! its still the Bert from before if you pay close attention to the music and bert himself and those old albums till now. its just there is this trend, an idea from the past which is the post-apocalyptic theme which is coming back again and becoming a trend again. deserts,salvage bass guitars from the nukes, worn out clothes plus the undercuts, those are just shadows of the music video. cool changes and evolution that you cant really stop but rather go with it. love this music video and the tune impales me!

I was at the Atlantic City Beer Fest last weekend, March 29th, 2019. Didn't know there was a band, never heard of The Used, no idea there would be a mosh pit. I was there to drink beer. I am 55, a child 0f the 80's mostly, found the punk scene in the late 80's. My first mosh pit was at a Dead Milkmen show at the 9:30 Club in DC. I have been a huge fan of the mosh pit and the punk/hardcore scene ever since. I even saw the Ramones in Harrisburg (PA) in 1996? Great mosh pit! Long story short, The Used came on, I was back in time and back in the pit! I had forgotten how much fun that was! Like Br'ere Rabbit, I was in that briar patch, back in my happy place! Wish the show had lasted 3 more hours! Many thanks to The Used and to all their fans, especially the ones in the mosh pit! What a fantastic, unexpected night. I lost my glasses third song in, tried to find them, to no avail. No worries, I had a fucking blast! Thanks again to all!

I became single after almost 3 years of loving someone, and listening to this song was more therapy than anything my friends could've given me. I was able to decide that if someone says they love you, leave, and then make choices completely contradicting their so called love afterwards. You shouldn't let it hold you down, you can only do so much to show your love for someone. Sticking through the shit and helping the other person is love, being there no matter what is love. But giving up just means they didn't share the same definition of love you had for them. It will hurt forever afterwards, and ill probably never fully live it down. But I can accept a couple things, I never left no matter who told me i should give up, I never made up reasons to leave or give up, and over all. I never left when she needed my help, even if i was unhappy in my situation I would've died by her side trying to dig us out. That's love, and that's what i can come to terms with. In the end, you cant blame yourself when you didn't make the choice, and you will never know what it feels like til you're there. When love changes faces it appears from nowhere.
