I have to say, fast food is probably pushing more people into casual restaurants now more than anything. The prices are close to the same while the quality isn't. I'd love to have a decent taqueria as a business right now in the middle of one of those 2 block areas in the suburbs that have all the fast food places going. They'll draw in customers like nothing else.

from an older gentleman, let me give you one piece of advice - try one size smaller suit jacket size. Most of your suit jackets look too wide in the shoulders. If the rest of the suit fits, have the jacket sized in the shoulders for you by a competent tailor. But I do respect taking on the 1930s look - it takes guts to wear an older fashion trend

Spot on review as always. Just tried this crispy cantina chicken taco (chipotle flavor as well) yesterday. Like you said, the taste was really good but where’s the chicken!? I used to order the Quesarito exclusively and almost every time, I would bite into it and I would get a mouthful of 1 of the like 10 ingredients on it. I was a loyal 4 day a week Taco Bell customer for 15 years at the same location the entire time. The pandemic hit and the store near me closed the lobby and kept drive thru open. The lobby remains closed, today, two years later and they won't let a person, who cannot drive due to a medical condition, on foot use the drive thru. Understandable when busy... I'm reasonable. I walked up to the window the other day when there was no one...NO ONE... and they wouldn't help me. Their excuse is that this is a corporate policy for safety. Never eating at a Taco Bell ever again in my life... NEVER!!!

It was a tense morning for the head executives at Taco Bell. Their sales have been going down in the past year, and their shareholders were not happy. They recently released a limited time menu item in hopes of drawing more patrons. A meeting was called to see how it was doing. Several of them shifted their legs and pulled at their shirt collars in nervousness as they awaited to see the future of the business. One man was crying with his head down. The stress from the past couple of weeks and the anxiety leading up to the meeting's presentation had taken a toll on everyone. They all looked up wide eyed as one of them pulled up a video, and the hair on everyone's neck tensed up as they heard the chilling, all too familiar words "Hello, everyone! This is Running on Empty Food Review!"

i understand your frustrations. as kid (middle school, early 90's) and we would travel to my grandma's house stopping by Taco Bell ...it was such a great time. you went in because it was a great place for the whole family to go to get your fixings (bunches of tacos, drinks, the cinnamon twists). nowadays, like you said it is not worth the stop. the lettuce is frozen, the tomatoes are flavorless, is there meat at all?? I got this today...in the form of a "box". Had this "taco", a regular crispy taco, a supreme chalupa and a 5 layer burrito, plus a drink, for only 7.65 after tax. Looking at all the items in the box, I could tell which was the burrito, which was the chalupa, which was the crispy, and which was the soft taco. However, upon visual inspection, the crispy taco and soft taco looked the same. Same colors, same cheese, same lettuce. Had the chalupa first...then the crispy taco...then the crispy cantina chicken. Saved the burrito for last... Was pleasantly surprised!! It was good! I did not get an option for advocado or chipotle, so I assume from the spice it was chipotle. It wasn't mind blowing by any means, but was good. Good amount of heat for a couple minutes

My go to cheap item has always been a bean burrito with sour cream. For a few years now it has trended towards being a medium thick tortilla with a bean smear and blob of sour cream in one end while also becoming more expensive

I've never worked at taco bell, but Ive worked at another fast food place that has chicken tenders. We had a HUGE problem getting in decent quality tendies. We'd be constantly throwing away full bags of chicken tenders because they just couldn't be served, they were nugget sized blocks of breading with no chicken. Maybe taco bell has that same supplier issue?

I used to work at Taco Bell and can somewhat confirm this: Yum! Brands is extremely cheap, to the point where we'd run out of certain sauces, chicken, steak, etc. for a store that often times made over $10k in a day before labor cuts. Taco Bell's had a sharp decline in quality and originality, all Yum! Brands stores tend to suffer from this (KFC, notably Pizza Hut) of becoming overpriced with lower quality.

I used to work at mcds. When we got bags of small product like chicken selects or nuggets . You'd just get an extra nugget in your ten piece or two small selects in your wrap instead of one. . On occasion the selects were such garbage we'd show the customer what we had and offer that or tell them we can give them nuggets instead lol

Almost definitely supplier issue; 2021 and 2022 have definitely been rough. No doubt cost cutting is involved as well. I got two tacos today and one had plenty of chicken and the other a small piece so there is clearly a quality control issue here.

The problem with taco bell has always been that you're only getting like an once or 2 of meat per item, and the rest of the weight is everything else. Honestly the only reason I still go there are the drinks and sauce packets.
