As a Spurs fan im not really moved by these trade ideas at all 🥴 If we're going to trade one of these top-10 picks it's going to have to be for 2025 picks or in a package for all-star caliber player. Devin Carter and Dalton Knecht are also 2-4 years older than most of these other lottery guys. Donovan Mitchell was almost 2 years younger in his draft year than Carter.

The problem with this draft is who do you trade up for? The 3rd or 4th pick could be worse than the 10th pick. And at what price? Most teams are just going to fill in holes on their roster. As for trading, a team like the Rockets want an upgrade, not another backup. The Rockets are several years away from contending. Heck, they don't even know what the playoffs are like. That is why teams like the Thunder were bounced from the playoffs. The Thunder will be back next year the better for it.

I think the Rockets are close. They make the playoffs next year and make some noise in the playoffs in 2-3 years. And I’m a Mavs fan. Not carrying water for the Rockets. I just think they have a really talented team that is 1 or 2 good shooters away from being competitive.

The Hawks want the center from UConn. They can get him at 4-6 so the potential trade partners are the Spurs, pistons or maybe Hornets. That’s it. The spurs would have to give up 4 & 8 to get 1. Not sure there is anyone there they like that much.

Players like Clarkson and Collins could be helpful to Philly or Bucks as they need depth and could be desperate enough to offer more to Utah. Not San Antonio.

I think any option that does not have the Jazz bring in yet another three rookies is best. Trade Clarkson for whatever we can get. We have to think of Markkanen's timeline. We either have to get better now, or tank completely. The Jazz fanbase does NOT want another year of being so-so, then trading away guys for even more picks that are completely over-rated. Use picks to bring in a solid top 20-30 player. Add to Laury and Sexton. Keep developing George and Hendricks. Someone tell Danny that a warchest full of picks ain't shizz until you use their perceived value, because as we see this current upcoming draft, those picks just aren't worth as much as we all think.

Ok, maybe Devin Carter could possibly end up the best player in the draft. However, he is not slated, in any mock draft to go anywhere near number one. Why spend resources to trade to one and take a player who would likely be available at 10? That just doesn’t make any sense at all.

Dudes....Dillingham is currently projected to go 10th. So would you really want to get rid of our picks and established player only to pick him sooner? I'm not feeling these trade proposals. The thing is, I'm also very high on Dilly, albeit his defence is ass (and we really need a better defence). If we moved to 3rd spot (most plausible of these proposals in my opinion): We would get a shot at drafting Reed Sheppard who is also very promising but with better defence. But here's the question: If the draft night goes according to script and Reed is 3rd pick and Dillingham 10th, would you be willing to give away Sexton, Dillingham and possibly Bronny (our early srp) just for Reed? This year is so unpredictable. I feel almost anyone in top10 has a possibility to be boom or bust. So trading up for a higher pick is more risky than normally. And I feel because of that also the price should be much lower. Clarkson and 10th pick for 3-4th pick is a realistic price imo.

Sexton and the tenth pick to get number 4 ? In a draft that maybe somebody there is as good as him I wouldn't do it that doesn't make alot of sense where alot of experts are saying really not much difference between 4 and 10. Maybe Clarkson and 10 for 3 I could see that but not sexton your giving up way too much with out getting that much potential

I’m sorry, but the only trade y’all talked about that I’d even think about was 10, Clarkson, and 31 for 3. Nothing else makes sense. Dillingham?? Is he even as good as Sexton? I’d take Sexton over Dillingham straight up. Bigger, stronger, faster, and is ridiculously efficient. I just don’t get these thought processes. And a future pick, with 10, and Sexton for any pick in this draft just seems foolish.

Sexton is AWESOME 6'2'' 190lbs and only 25 yo. shoots 39% from three in the NBA not college. creates his own shot anytime and still gets 4-5 assets per game. In a good draft year, every team would follow the mantra of "drafting the best player available." But in this draft that it isn't going to be easy because all of them have their warts and there isn't as much separation between one player and the next. That's why I think teams will be open to trades. And those that keep their pick, will draft players that meet their specific needs. My favorite players in the top ten of this draft are: Reed Sheppard, Dalton Knecht, Stephon Castle and Ron Holland. Outside the top ten, I also like: Zach Edey, Tyler Kolek, DaRon Holmes, Devin Carter and Dillon Jones (Weber State). I enjoyed listening to your discussion on the multiple options the Jazz have. Will the Jazz move up? They certainly have the assets to do so. But as with any deal, it take two to tango.

Hahaa, you are not only saying Risacher's name wrong. You also pronounce Wemby's name wrong but that's alright. ;) I feel trading up for no.1 pick makes only sense if you are picking Sarr. But imo asking price for no.1 pick would be too high for us. For all we know our 10th pick might give us a better player in a long run. But Kessler, 10th and 29th is a bit high. But if you want to draft a PG then why not just trade up for a 3rd pick instead?
