The Utility Trailer that I use with my Ventrac

I've had a few ask so I made a quick video going over my Bannon Utility Trailer. It has some nice features and can carry a decent amount of weight distributed over 8 tires much like the Ventrac Dual Wheel Kit.
I've asked Ventrac to consider making a utility trailer of their own using the same all terrain tires on the tractors. I think they could make a trailer even more awesome than the one I have.

Thanks for the review Bradley. That is a really nice trailer and for the price well worth it. One of the little lawn tractor trailers are like $150 and they not beefy like this and don't last long if you start to really use them.

Thanks again! I like your trailer too. The Ventrac has so much go-anywhere capability: It's nice to have a trailer that's in that same vein for hauling bulky or high-volume items to any location on a property. Many items come to mind that aren't really heavy...but clumsy to carry by other means. Barring dirt and gravel that Tom pointed out, it can still earn its keep. Possible benefit: it won't hold and store rain/snow! It seems that Ventrac should consider a build of their own version of utility trailer with the quality and well thought out design they are so known for.

If it was to use the hydraulics, wouldn't it would need to be mounted in front of the Ventrac. you would then be able to dump it from the seat, and it would need to operate on a 30 deg slope. If you boil this down, it sounds like a large power bucket ?

@@emrythompson I don't really see the point when there is already a hydraulics option for the rear. I have the hydraulic 3 point with optional auxiliary rear hydraulics and electric auxiliary as well. With these options there are 3 sets of hydraulic lines in the back plus electric aux. Sometimes I wish for a 4th set but I get by ok with 3

I can see it is a nice trailer and very sturdy, it is not clear if it dumps or not. I am a little confused on what I (or you) would use it for because of the wire grid base and sides. I typically haul dirt, gravel, or mulch in mine. The dirt and gravel would fall out as fast as I could shovel it in, the mulch might stay. :)

For dirt and mulch I just use the Slip Scoop or Power Bucket. This trailer does not dump but I have thought about modifying it

The gorilla gcu-1600 is the same trailer but with flotation tires. The O'BANNON tires fail quickly and we replaced them with tires from the gcu-1600

I don't know of a tow rating on the 4500. I've pulled quite a lot with them. One time a GMC1500 2WD pulling a 16' trailer couldn't make it up a wet, grassy hill. I happened to be there with my 4200 with dual wheel kit, hooked him up and pulled him up the rest of the way. All he could say was "What IS that thing!?"

@@bluecordprecisiongrading2504 yes the 4500's are stout. We recently had a 50th party at my place and the food truck we catered had no reverse. I was able to pull that food truck (on flat ground) into the yard where we needed it placed. I would estimate that truck to easily be 8000LBS or better. All that witnessed were amazed at its ability

Can you tell me the tire size. I need all dimensions. I'm looking to buy one but am hesitant until I am sure I can get quality replacement tires. The only complaints I have seen are about the quality of the tires.
