It's just a matter of which you spent more time in. If you spend months in DSR before ever going in UwU, chances are you're an Heavens legend and are meming in UwU...

The fights are so different that I can see how that happens. People of all skill levels go into UWU overconfidently, thinking because it's the "easiest" they don't have to study. Like sure, the DPS checks are easy and the mechanics are very simple to resolve compared to the other Ultimates, but you still can't go in blind lol. Plus knowing PF-specific strats is half of the battle.

Trying to get my reclears for my last 5 weps has been a pain, I feel like it's easier to join a group on clear then an actual reclear lol, knowing the clear group are usually gonna really try for there first ultimate clear.

Because peoppe who totem parties in these fights (most of the time) are relatively new to clearing. Also bad too, there's so many consistent players away from the game so all that's left is just xD. I always tell people who clear an ultimate of patch or a legacy fight, just join clear for "x" parties, more likely to totem in there lmao.

Its 50/50 for me, sometimes the clear party people dont dps at all(looks at aggro list) or just keep dying.

On one hand, I do want to do UwU. On the other hand, I'm fully aware I'd spend most of the fighting doing my best Dragoon Impression and I don't feel like causing everyone else to suffer through that

If the only thing you fear is "holding back the party", I would say read/watch a lot of guides and clear videos! That minimizes the amount of time you spend in the instance and you'll feel more confident about not being the weak link. At least rhat's how I dealt with it lol

@@MissPoplarLeaf Well I'm using a second character as an excuse to learn the jobs, it's one thing to know the fight (which as of current I don't), but if you don't know how to use the jobs available to you, and I guarantee Tank/Healer would be asked for more than DPS, then it'll only get harder from there. Eventually I'll do a run, but I need to gain knowledge first

Is it just my experience or is it normal that all those who have already cleaned it (mostly penta legends or almost) and are in, or create parties, for prog, are the most toxic? I mean, if you die or wipe at prog point you are an incompetent person who doesn't know where to go or what to do, but if someone else keep wiping for 40 mins on meme phases: "it's all good dw" just because they are your friends? 🤔 i'm a bit confused

This is the only ultimate I have ever done, and I did it pretty much by accident as a sprout. Just not realizing ultimates simply weren’t a thing I should be doing yet. In hindsight, even as the easiest ultimate, I have no idea how I pulled that off with no clue what I was doing…

Sometimes intuitive thinking gets you far! This isn't the most complex fight, but it can still be rough when you're new. And being able to recognise puzzles and mechs, even haphazardly, is a feat on its own.

In total, maybe 13 hours of prog over the course of three weeks? I took it slow at first, but I think I sat down for four days straight right at the end to try to buff it out. (This is counting actual time in the fight, not just standing around waiting for PFs to fill)

I honestly don't understand that mentality, a player is bad because they want to try and learn it on their own, but the fight is also easy because everything is already written out and explained for them, I don't feel like people who used a guide have the right to gauge the difficulty of content because they used someone else effort to remove the hardest part of the fight, yes the fights can be difficult and unforgiving for mistakes but in a game where knowing how the mechanics work for each fight are the only form of difficulty so in turn by having someone else learn that for you is taking away a lot of the difficulty for you since your going in already knowing what to expect.

I think you're misunderstanding what I meant. In most scenarios where I plugged this fight over the course of roughly a month, I was in parties either made by myself or other people with the expectation that people are using guides in order to make it through the fight. This is the standard in PF, and if you're not using a guide, you're looking to join blind prog parties. They're two very different scenarios, and I'm specifically referring to the former. I never joined a blind prog party while trying to clear. Often when I asked "Have people looked up a guide?" I was met with either silence or no's. UWU is a very different fight depending on how you choose to prog, and I chose to use guides to get my clear. A lot of people in PF, I'd argue most people, do the same, and expect other's to do the same.

This is just gatekeeping, Try going into top after watching a guide and see how long it takes you to clear it, “the only form of difficulty” my ass. 99.5% of players use guides, even week 1 clearers watch other groups do mechanics to find strats. To say that you only “truly”experienced a fight if you did it blind is dumb. Look, I cleared p5-7s and p9-10s week 1, yeah, things had to be trial and errored, and that resulted in a different experience than if i knew what to do, but said experience isn’t relevant to judging the fight. If a fight is only good when blind, then it’s just a bad fight straight up. The good news is, there are very few ff14 fights this actually applies to.

Not everyone has that many friends, or consistent schedules. Uwu pf can be bad at times, but it gets a lot easier once you get past the wall of Titan/predation pfs that trap you on gaols

@@shawnscouten5184Joined static for fresh uwu, Problem is, uwu is not hard enough to retain static members for a longer time. I just progging on PF while there's no static schedule, cleared in 2-3 weeks. One other too, One cleared before, another one was on Annihilation prog. Then after 3 weeks, MT ST still can't do all the Titan mech properly, another 2 still died on ifrit. Then since it was dragging on for too long, some moving on to another static, and the static keep getting replacement with different progs, and needed to readjustment every single time. Me and 1 other just staying as helpers, and we just reclear it on PF outside schedule. Having savage experience, P8S on PF, P10S, P12S when it was current and using min ilvl helps a lot. After those, the difficulty of UWU is a bit easier compared to latest Savage when it's current, no echo, and was done with below BiS gears. But not everyone done the latest savages. Some wanted to do uwu when they reached shadowbringer. Thus your prog rate will be different. You don't even need a very optimized rotation too nowadays and focus on survival, RDM verraise is far more useful here than doing those savages where 3 deaths = enrage. On my first clear got 10 deaths in total. Good thing with PF is, if you are confident you can do it, just go for it (or labelled trap if you can't). I keep watching the suppression pov from multiple videos, again and again as if I was the one controlling the character, and I think I can do it, I just go for Suppression - A2C. Surely, on my 2nd Suppression it went straight to clear. So yeah, static for uwu wasn't quite the answer.
