The Uzi is Iconic, Fun and Accurate to Shoot

You probably won’t see this gun on the firing line for the next USPSA pistol-caliber carbine championship, but the street-legal version of the Uzi carbine might sling lead just well enough to give a respectable showing. I personally had very low expectations for how the gun would handle accurate plinking, but this little tank can certainly put on a show at the range.

Thanks for posting the video. We had a full auto Uzi with a fixed wooden stock at the last 2nd is For Everyone: Diversity Shoot at the Heritage Guild in Easton Pennsylvania. It was sooooooo much fun!!! They have it as a rental gun, go there and try it out. We ran through 300 rounds of 9mm. We had moms, young kids and one young lady that at the beginning of the event had never fired a gun. By the end of the night they were happily taking turns firing the UZI on full auto. If I ever owned one I would install the wood stock.

I have one of these purchased back in 1987 for $300 NIB. A year too late to have converted to full auto. I find that the grip safety can cause a sore hand after prolonged firing sessions. In 1988, I purchased a transferrable full auto HK MP5SD, which kind of relegated the Uzi to the safe.

I have the same uzi And I ran threw the mag and the last round Had a bigger pop and nothing came out As I cleared and took apart to get the long ass barrel out The casing got stuck around the projectile But half of the casing blew up But got stuck into the front of the barrel I thought maybe was a wrong round or sumtn but it was a 9mm and same brand and manufactured as the other 21 rounds that was fired before Nothing was damaged but weird Idk

I purchased one from Atlantic Firearms a couple of months ago and it is plagued with failures to extract. I cleaned and lubed it but it did not correct the problem. Dropped it off at a gunsmith. We'll see if there is anything that he can do. My advice do not purchase an UZI from that vendor.

Anyone know why they're called IMI and IWI uzi's? I always thought it was IWI, so I looked it up and there is both IMI and IWI uzi's... and one site said they were the same... like this... "IMI (IWI) Uzi"
