The AK is a rifle. The Uzi is an SMG, usually. People have preferences, and they seem to prefer a rifle over what's practically a machine pistol. But Myself, I love both the UZI and AK guns.

Minato Namikaze not always, the are multiple factor that can change that. First you have the weight of the bolt, the heavier it is, the slower it will fire, the lighter, the faster the rate of fire. Like the MG42 in the ww2, the lightest bolt could make the mg to fire up to 1200 rounds a minute with a heavier bolt it was firing at around 900 rounds a minute. There is also the strength of the recoil springs. The stronger the spring, the faster the rate of fire and vice versa. There are few other things but i don't remember

I got to shoot one recently, and first off, yes those sights are awful to use, especially if you are broad-shouldered and required to use their standard strap (range rules). Honestly it's probably easier to use from the hip or held like a pistol, and would be more enjoyable with any optic other than the built-in irons. However, I have never giggled so much in my life while firing it in bursts (my buddy shot first and rode up the target in full auto; I wanted to keep it controlled). I really want one now lol.

Fuckin' love the Uzi man. Aside from it's sheer iconic appeal, it's real easy on the eyes(at least from my perspective) Some people think it's ugly and impractical, but it's eye candy to me. RPM's exceeding 750 are always on my list of guns I need to try shooting with. Even if this gun really isn't that great or obsolete by today's exceedingly high standards of ballistic weaponry, it will always have a place in many halls of fame.

The mini uzi was my favorite weapon in cod mw2. Suppressed. A terror of fire rate at close range, and three quick bursts are still enough to take out even snipers at any range. And the vertical recoil is so straight, you know those bursts were landing. All while staying off the radar and ready to destroy anyone who dares get close in a torrent of bullets.

What you're referring to is the weapon being "drop-safe," as in, whether or not it's capable of accidentally firing if it is dropped. That said, lots of guns, especially older military guns, are not drop-safe. The 1911 is a somewhat infamous example of a pistol that is not drop-safe.

The point here is, a pistol usually get s one shot off, when dropped. A badly tended Uzi has gotten a worn out locking mechanism and usually the spring mechanism has become weaker than a spring operated trouser hanger .... and when you drop it, the inertia of the pretty heavy one block firing pin, breach and reload mechanism will keep it firing like one of whose spinning wheel fireworks.... And yes, I have seen it demonstrated using blank cartridges and firing adpter, although this is now 30 years ago...so, no video, but I guess there are some on YT ;) Seriously, don't try this at home...
