Another excellent reading. You guys are awesome 🤘 To anybody who might think Howard was a racist because of some of the "problematic" character dialogue, I'd suggest reading the Solomon Kane stories where he saves African tribes from Barbary Slavers and where he gets his iconic Staff of Solomon from his "blood brother" N'Longa (an African Shaman who saves Kanes life) Howard does not view any people as inferior, he just portrays a harsh and brutal world in his writing.

He's still racist.. and that's okay, he was writing 90 years ago and it was a very different time. I've read a lot of Robert E Howard and the way he's described black people is undeniably racist and he definitely viewed black people as inferior. That doesn't mean you can't enjoy his writings, I'm black and he's one of my favourite writers but we don't need to deny reality.

WOW! The vitality of these Cybrarian Productions, coupled with the vividness of R.E. Howard's writings is amazing! A real plus includes the female voice: a man imitating a female just doesn't cut it for me. Additionally, it usually seems to me that R.E. Howard is generally making thinly veiled commentary concerning the anthropology of the human race, which gives his writing an added depth. Thanks to one and all at Cybrarian Productions.

@@shazreea1938 no, no you misunderstand me, you did fine. When I think of Italian women I think of those smokey, raven haired, buxom, women with a smoldering intensity, and Sophia Patrillo from the Golden Girls when they get older. That’s what I was getting with the accent, unfortunately the description of a fair blonde kept throwing out of the moment.
