Excellent video in all respects, thank you. No. 7 looks superb and the surroundings come over very well in that good weather. I vaguely remember a visit in the early 1980s and the wonderfully clear introduction serves as a useful update. Kind regards, Bob K.

That's kind of you Frank, as a Welshman it's a very important day. If you get to ride on the Railway, then sit on the left facing the engine, as that will give you the best views climbing up to Devil's Bridge...Very Best wishes to you all....Bob

Quite nice. When you said a "light servicing" I was expecting a bit of water, but you caught the cleaning of the firebox. Nice catch. You showed a great shot of the narrow gauge but it looked so small that I had to research it. Where I was expecting maybe a meter gauge, it was only half that. Very interesting. Another great video and you didn't have to climb a mountain.
@robmasterman5 жыл бұрын
It's quite amazing how narrow the gauge is for such a relatively large loco, considering the climb up that line, and being built at Swindon, the adhesion is spot on and I've never seen on slip on the climb to Devil's Bridge

Robert Masterman My parents were pretty liberal once I reached secondary education.On holidays if we visited say Shrewsbury, Mum and Dad would go to shops, cathedrals etc I’d go to the motive power depot aka engine shed. I got lucky at Shrewsbury the Shed superintendent took a group of us train spotters round. Good days no jobsworth health and safety! Only time I got in trouble was at Scarborough where those brand new Clayton centre cab diesels where being stored prior to allocation.
