Notre Dame fans are actually some of the friendliest in all of college football. Go to a Notre Dame game and you’ll see. They even have a welcoming committee for away fans traveling to the game

Maple Leafs had to be in this. Haven't won since '67 when there were 6 teams in the league. Yet, the whole world revolves around them, and they are the most overreactionary fanbase in sports. Like you said with the Lakers, they think they can get every player involved in trade rumor or every free agent. They win 3 games in a row: "Plan the parade!" Lose 2 in a row: "Blow it up. This team sucks!" Most obnoxious and arrogant fanbase in hockey.

I do not see the teams performance has to do with how obnoxious the fanbase is. I mean yeah teams that win often can get that way - like the patriots - who were nothing before Belichek they were not even popular in Boston . Personally I hate Colorado Avalanche fans - they inherited a team from Quebec who really deserved to keep that team - but won a championship in the 1st season there and have considered themselves hockey experts ever since - I would love to see an avalanche cover them

I'm a Cowboys fan (I'm fine with the list), but here's how horrible Eagles fans are. I was in Atlanta with a friend of mine at a sports bar in 2009 (the year after the Lions went 0-16). It was week 2. Lions vs. Vikings and Eagles vs. Saints. There's a Lions fan minding his own business at the bar watching the Lions vs. Vikings. About 20 feet away there's an Eagles fan watching the Eagles vs. Saints. The Saints destroy the Eagles an the Lions lost a fairly close game. The Lions fan claps for a big play made by the Lions. The Eagles fan, who is walking away in disgust from his Eagles, sees the Lions fan clap and out of nowhere smashes a glass beer mug over the Lions fan's face. I saw it unfold out of my peripheral vision. I couldn't believe what I just saw. The Eagles fan runs out of the bar (didn't pay for his tab either) and hightails it out of there. The entire bar wanted to beat that Eagles fan to a bloody pulp because a lot of people saw the entire thing and the Lions fan was in really bad shape. Thankfully somebody got the Eagles' fan's license plate and the cops knew who they were looking for. I reiterate the Lions fan did NOTHING to that Eagles fan. And that's why...yeah, you can hate Cowboys fans for a variety of reasons. But trying to tell me that Eagles fans are somehow not as bad as a Cowboys fanbase that can be delusion (myself included) is just missing the big picture of things here.

Detroit pro sports fans are some of the worst because they enable a consistent and very long string of losing teams. The constantly filled seats at Ford Field and the Lion adoration and excuse making is the most baffling thing in pro sports. The Cowboys? I think you can blame the media for the America's Team thing. They saw a chance to create a scene and they succeeded. Besides, they have a pretty great track record of success regardless of what Valenti is saying.

One reason why UM should be above OSU: Your head coach, Jimmy, gets his players to target players of the opposing team and lay out downright dirty hits, trying to knock them out so you have a better chance of winning. That's what y'all did against Colorado in 2016. Your coach got his players to injure our 1st and 2nd starter QB's and our kicker, we were winning at halftime, and your boy Jimmy needed a way to get back in the game. That's what a team of cowards fucking does, and I expect nothing less out of UM's football team.

I think the Detroit Lions fan base is the WORST! Why? Because they support their team no matter how bad they are! That might not make sense, but by supporting the franchise BLINDLY, the organization had ZERO incentive to get better. The fan base has become cynical in recent years, but other than 1987 when the Silverdome was half full, the fans indirectly enabled the ownership NOT to care as long as the MONEY rolled in!!!
