@@hattershouse710 you do realize that Jim Caldwell was fired by this bozo of a GM named Bob Quinn right? Who said 9-7 wasn’t good enough right? The Lions have barley won 10 games in 3 years. Caldwell inherited a bad Jim Schwartz team, and had 3 out of 4 winning seasons with the Detroit Lions. Had the Lions playing hard from start to finish. The Lions had a lack of play makers on offense and defense, and it showed when they played against some of the better teams in the NFL, and Jim Caldwell Got us to the playoffs after we lost Suh to free agency, and Calvin Johnson to retirement. It’s the GM’s job to draft talented players , and acquire free agents, and the GM’s failed to do that for him. Bob Quinn owes Jim Caldwell an apology, And so does the Lions fan base. Jim Caldwell was the right coach for us. Imagine what he would do if he had some of these rosters that Matt Patricia has had? You guys wanted Caldwell fired so bad, and you haven’t enjoyed a Lions football game since 🎤

@@countbuffalo6654 Bob Quinn needs to be fired too. Caldwell didn’t inherit a bad team he inherited a good team as proven when they went 11-5 in his first year with a top 3 defense leading the way. He got us to mediocrity which is fine if that’s what you’re satisfied with. Winning playoff games is what should be our standard not just getting to the playoffs. He made the same mistakes Patricia made. He had Stafford to bail him out most of the time. Having play makers or not doesn’t change the fact that Caldwell was a below average coach. If he was such a good coach why didn’t any other team hire him?

If it were up to me, I'd let Caldwell go now. The best we have under Caldwell is a first round exit, which does nothing for this team except weaken it's draft position. I say let Caldwell go now, and tank the season on purpose. Because there are two possibilities, here: the interim head coach turns things around immediately and gets us what Caldwell would have gotten us or better, or our season tanks and we end up with a stronger draft position to finally get a running back in here who doesn't trip all over himself doing his river dance behind the Line of Scrimmage and gets tackled for no gain because he cares more about fancy footwork than getting some damned yards. Caldwell can't be back next season. If he is, that kills my hope and I'm done with this team. I like Stafford but he's getting his career wasted with Caldwell. Caldwell's strongest selling point was what? To RESTORE DISCIPLINE to the team. After yesterday's game, he doesn't even have THAT going for him. Fire Caldwell now, tank the season, get the better draft position, and fix the damned running game, and the Lions might have a chance...their last chance. Realistically, the only hope for this franchise is a new owner, a new city, and a complete re-branding. The Lions are a legacy of failure. Picking a new mascot and colors would go a long way in killing that old legacy. I mean, hey, it worked for the Ravens, didn't it? Send them to St. Louis maybe.

Brian Stilson . I knew he was never the answer for the Lions losing culture. As I've said forever. They need a Harbough type coach. I always knew the Lions when they couldn't go any longer with pushing Caldwell, they would do as always hire another one like him. Or just promote Austin or Cooter. All this hype around them, but they never get a job. I wonder why? But frankly I'm so tired of how Cauldwell a fair at most coach, and his act, that I don't care who they get anymore just to see him leave. He knew scripture or not he was conning the Lions and the Fords from the moment he stepped of the plane. Just like in his opening press conference,as coach in his very first words, said he knew he needed to win now. Not next year or 2 yrs. If he was such a man of scripture, and prophecy as he claims, when he failed to do that, he should have resigned, instead of taking more money from the Fords. And just like in Indy he always says he's at fault for any losses. He knows how to kiss but of the players and management and knew the Fords with his emphasis on good behavior, we're prime for the taking. Newsflash to coach if your teams except for really once never do much and mostly fall short of achieving anything maybe what prophesy is sayin, is that you shouldn't coach. But hey it's a great gig if you can get it. It pays good and you are a great talker. Though you seem a lot more willing to talk with everyone including the press when your new in town, and trying to gain favors then when your act has finally worn it self out.
