Just got this today and while I’m excited to have it and add it to my daily tools I was saddened to see this edition is apparently past down now and not edge lined. But none the less I’m excited to get into and add it to my daily tools for prayer and worship!!! Thank you for your review Correction. I got the genuine leather not the goatskin. I’ll use this one and maybe later on get a goatskin edition haha

I got the Valley of Vision a couple months ago, and it has been tremendously helpful in my prayer life. Like you said, just to see the content of prayer. I found my prayer to be so shallow compared to these Puritans and it has been challenging me to pray like them. What is the Bible in the background that you used to compare the inner gilding? And what would you say is the main reasons someone would go for a premium Bible (my guess is $150-$250 range) as compared a regular leather bible ($50-100 range)? I’ve always had cheaper Bibles and have been thinking about getting a real leather Bible. Thanks for any help on these questions!

Wonderful news. It is a tremendous resource and I’m happy you know that from personal experience. The Bible in the video is one of my favorites. It is the NASB R1 (Reader) by R.L. ALLAN. Their site is Bibles-Direct.co.uk They also have KJV, ESV and NIV options available alongside NASB The quality and benefits of a premium bible outweigh the benefits and quality you will receive from a bible under the $30. Sadly it is hard to figure this out without holding them in person. I highly recommend finding on Facebook the Bible pages called “Everything Bibles” and the “The Bible Exchange” as well as “Allan Bible Addicts” where people actually sell them at a lower price point. The conditions will range from used to brand new. There is another video on my page that does a review of the exact same bible (only difference is that it is in yellow.) I hope this helps!

How do you feel about it now that you’ve had it for a couple of months? Trying to decide between this and the genuine leather.

I feel the same about it. I am happy with it. Some thoughts though: The cover/spine has never increased in flexibility, and is still quite stiff after daily use. The only thing I wish I had noted in the video is that I’m not a fan of how they stacked the double ribbons on top of each other.
