Yeah, since a lot of the console players are pc Val players, they have little to no controller experience, if you know how to play on controller you will get easy dim to ascendent. After like a year is when you will see people’s true skill and who is actually in the rank they are supposed to be in.

There is also a setting that you can change so you aren’t “walking” during focus. So you are able to swing faster while being in focus mode, it helps a lot and I feel it should be default.

By the way on PS5 you could just press the mute mic button on your controller instead so that you don't have to go into the menu every time. This helped me a lot with being comfortable with open mic since I have background noise a lot of the time.

I won 4 out of the 5 placements but I dropped 30+ kills in 4 of those games and the one game I lost I dropped 29. I placed Asc 1 and I think it determines heavily on your skill and how well you perform in the sense of your combat score/KDA. I’m not complaining with my rank, I’m Plat 3 peak on PC although I’ve only played one match after I placed. Due to the fact that a lot of people on console are kinda booty cheeks even though I’m in Asc 1. While I can pop off and top frag, it’s no where near enough at that level because of how inconsistent it is on console currently. I do look forward to attempting to climb though and I hope to hit immortal, potentially radiant on console. Which would be sick. Good luck to everyone playing on console and PC

Just so you know, you can mute your mic on PlayStation just by hitting the little line button under the PlayStation logo button. You know if you’re muted if the button is orange.That way u don’t have to go to settings every time to switch from open mic to mute. Great video as always! Congrats on 100k as well 🎉

I used Valorant on PC to get acclamated and was stuck in Iron Bars. Now im stuck in quicksilver hell on console. I get full unranks on my team vs all silvers. I go 27/13 (-7 rr for a 12-14 loss); next game 27/11 gave me -13 rr (9-13 loss). All MVP but last one was Match MVP. MMR is wack as fuck and should be removed and/or they need to reset it every episode, then we make making smurf accounts harder.

I'm peak G3 on PC and I got placed either D2 or D3 but won one match and got Ascendant, then my mate finally got an Xbox, finally hit level 10 I was thinking sweet we can play comp together, obviously my main account is too high a rank to play with him, so I linked another Xbox account that was unranked and hadn't even played on console, I played literally one placement game with him on it and from that it said the skill gap was too high between us, so I literally can't play with my mate cause my rank on console is bloated, don't get me wrong, I'm not terrible on console, I'm decent and I'm Asc2 at the moment, but console players are still very stupid even in these ranks, but when you get a team who kinda knows how to play, you just obliterate the opposing teams, I expect I will be higher on console than on PC when the mmr settles in place, but just sucks that I can't play with my mate who is bronze 1 on console

Instead of using focus to aim, use it to flick and stop abruptly then unfocus to aim and you can still have a high sensitivity without it affecting your aim. Also just get a mic that works on console because the ps5 controller Mike sucks lol also, you can press the orange button under the PlayStation logo button on the controller to unmute and mute as long as in valorant you aren’t muted. It will unmute the mic but not the in game settings

Playing PC I always blame myself for losses. Not now, its ridiculous how stupid people are in high ranks. Ascendant 1 and people just have zero game sense. I fully understand that these players are new. I dont blame them, I also understand its a beta. But the anger I felt when I lost my chance to make the first 500 because gekko would throw a spike onto site without site control or when phoenix peaked the same angle 1010163 times in a row and died to the same guy every time. Gamesense is learned, but these people lack common sense. They all play like its call of duty, again that is fine if they werent all placed in the highest ranks. Diamond and Ascendant are literally any rank. Your teammates range from iron skill to radiant. I know this will all change. I'm just very mad I wasnt able to make the first top 500 because of broken ranked system.
