I need to point out a quick observation I've made. A lot of people I see giving their thoughts on this situation are of the opinion that Valve shouldn't be held accountable for their actions, and that the community is entitled for wanting anything more out of Valve and this game. If you're one of these people, you're part of the problem. If you're content with TF2 remaining in the state that it is today, you're part of why Valve is choosing to do nothing about this situation. Not holding Valve accountable for their actions (or rather inactions) is the very thing that enables them to plug their ears to the community's concerns for this game. When you choose not to directly protest against Valve, you're telling them that it's okay for TF2 to remain in the state that it's in currently. Your pessimistic attitude tells Valve that it's okay to let this community be tarnished by people who not only cheat in-game, but even dox and swat people who oppose them like what happened to MegaScatterBomb. By not protesting this disgusting behavior, you are validating Valve's decision not to fight against it, you are enabling the ones behind this issue, and in doing so, you perpetuate the toxicity and criminal activity that the community has been suffering from for the better part of a decade. So in closing, if you're one of these people who think it's okay to allow this toxic, and even straight-up criminal activity to prosper in the TF2 space, do us all a favor and get the fuck out of our community. Nobody wants you here, and nobody agrees with you.

Heres one thing thats commonly misunderstood about Valve. There is a limit to what the hierarchy at Valve will allow you to work on. That limit being TF2 and other miscellaneous projects. So ultimately even if someone tried to get into Valve and work on tf2, they would be heavily pushed away from the project or outright denied from doing so. Blame the higher ups the most.

I think what boils my blood the most is that the most obvious solution was tried but actually rejected. Which was the fan Source 2 port. Valve has not cared for TF2 for a very long time, but not enough to let go of the IP and simply let fans have control over it as would be perfect.

Valve should have ditched or at least seriously scaled back their "let employees work on whatever they want" policy years ago. It may have worked a long time ago, and freedom of choice is always a great thing, but things are so vastly different now compared to their earlier days. They've grown to the point where they have so many things they're responsible for and there just isn't room to let every employee do whatever they want anymore. People procrastinate, look at things that are broken and they cringe, saying "I'll deal with that later," or "I'll let someone else fix that." It's human nature. That's why you have to assign responsibilities within a company, or else huge messes like this will result. Some of them may not like it, but with so many "customers" using your products or services (in this case it's us playing their game) there needs to be some standard for quality of user experience. TF2 has dropped far below that point, and it's been that way for too long. Valve needs to suck it up and change their attitude, because this is just unacceptable.

My only regret, that the community didn't speak up back in 2018 when Valve effectively throw their hands down after two big failures OF THEIR OWN MAKING (2018 is basically end of support with blue moon update, oddly it been 6 years since then and deadlock been in development as long) Valve failure to force tf2 to become competitive when the game is unfit for it. IS the first mistake. Then they doubled down with jungle inferno after one year of radio silence (the game was hardly playable) And when many of the players who returned to tf2 after they left because of casual mode and MYM. Saw that Valve either too proud or delusional to revert tf2 to it old state and give us Quickplay back. they left and the player count hit it historical lowest. Then Valve had the hubris entering cash grab mode with tf2 after they ruined the game. I hate the fat that no big community figure at the time had any backbone to speak up. one video is not enough, we as community should have mobilized asking for Quick Play back and tf2 fixed. If tf2 was actually playable and have Quickplay. maybe the game could have grown, not CS numbers of course but a growth is a growth and better then the state of stagnation we in. #Fixtf2 #AddQuickPlayBack #RevertTF2toPreMYM Here is a white pill. tf2 negative reviews the past few days hit like 1700, the worst tf2 got in short period was MYM and they were like ~1800. tf2 recent reviews used to be like 83% now it's 76%. it seem it drop by ~2% every day. Keep the pressure, Apathy and doing nothing got us no where. i don't care if we don't see immediate changes, Valve is a slow rolling beast. i see many say the first savetf2 failed. I do agree it failed in terms of delivering the right message but to expect Valve to fix tf2 on the first try or them immediately doing it is such a childish way of thinking. here small nitpick of the video, it's such weird thing to see low quality gameplay with amazing audio. It's like a silver tongue homeless guy who speak softly with sweet words. (please don't take it the wrong way)

I feel like I must say a few things. TF2 is my favorite game and at this point it's a part of who I am. I personally think cheating is hardly our biggest problem. Uncletopia exists and works great at least for me. Our problem is neglect in non map content. TF2 feels like the best game in the world when you discover new ways to play. Basically we need balance changes. That is what makes this game breathe. And to make that a reality we need our plan to insensitive that. We need to outlay the profit route in hiring and enabling a new dev team. Our petition needs to also ask people if they will be willing to pay for am update pass similar to jungle inferno and how much will they consider fair to charge for it. If you can get 30000 signatures on a 15$ pass for a quality update that's a potential profit of 450000$ so if you pay a team of four people a month each 15000$ for half a year you'll make some 25000$ in profit. We should raise from our community four such people that can even be considered a separate entity to valve so we could support them directly should that be necessary. And of course keep track on them. Personally I will be very happy to pay even 20$ for the heavy update pass or an overhaul to the competitive matchmaking system. getting rid of cheaters in casual feels more like a nice bonus then the reason I'll actually open my wallet. And let it clear to everyone: IF THEY WON'T EXPECT A PROFIT FROM GIVING TF2 SUPPORT IT WON'T GET ANY EVER AGAIN

We need to make Valve realize one thing.... The've created a community of fans that want them to fix their old games, that is rabid, loud, and is derranged enough that if they'll be left alone for too long, they will make sure to bomb any new shit project they'll release. That Stalemate game or hoever it is called? We will make sure EVERY single gaming news site, youtuber and whatever will know and remember to report that Valve let "Nword killer" bots roam their game for year, that they never got rid of the bots at all, and that they still monetized that game. That they will leave any game project to die if they'll get bored. Thet they still have episode 3 of HALF-LIFE to release. We will make their neglegence their problem. Save TF2 was nice attempt at being reasonable, but it seems we need to be unreasonable. I want to go ahead and apologise to that one potted plant still working on the game in their free time, they deserve all the love community can give... But when you're in relationship this toxic with your game studio, there is not much love left really. Still, we don't mean to send death threats to any person. Let's just make sure Valve learn that leaving people hanging is not cash money move
