This is why instead of seeing Katherine as a ‘villain’ or a ‘badass’ I see her as kind of pathetic this season. Like, if she wanted to live that bad she could’ve jumped into anybody else’s body but she’s actually obsessed with Elena and it went from pretending to be her to literally being her. The sad part is she was somebody who did whatever it took to survive and only looked out for herself but then she becomes someone who did all of this for one guy to love her, not even for her daughter or bc she genuinely wanted to live for herself.

i think it makes sense. Her entire purpose for 500 years was surviving as she has Klaus to run from. Running from Klaus is in itself motivation to live, after she became human she literally has nothing to live for. Yes she stopped running but what does she have to go back to? nothing. Running was her purpose in life for so long that she doesn't even know what life is like without running and with connections to people. Now for the first time dying is inevitable and she wanted to end it, so she did,, she basically accepted the fact that she's going t die, but Stefan was the one that saved her. That brought back all her feelings she has had for him for 150 years, and now she has nothing to do in her life. The one thing she wants and hasn't gotten yet is Stefan. Yes it would much smarter to get into Elena's body and leave immediately, but what is she going to do? she literally has nothing in her life, nothing to live for, Nadia might be the only remotely important thing, but even then she doesn't feel like her mother and she really does not have any attachment to her. She has more of an attachment to Stefan than Nadia. Plus a huge characteristic about Katherine is that she's vain, so not only does she not have any reason to live anymore, but she wouldn't want to exist in someone else's body forever and they showed this conversation with Nadia in previous episodes. And wanting Stefan also comes from a very selfish place. She wants to get what she wants! It doesn't really matter whether Stefan wants to be with her, she wants him and she's getting him (just like katherine gets everything!), and the idea that she could now potentially be with Stefan gave her new motivation to live, a new purpose to life. What I love about Katherine this season is that you see her in a completely powerless and vulnerable position, something which we have never seen her as before, so of course she is going to be different. She still has the same characteristics like selfishness and manipulation, but she herself is the first time completely powerless with this group of people. I find this to be the most interesting season of Katherine as seeing her try to tackle a completely new situation shows so much about her character. Yes vampire Katherine is cool, but this is the first time we really see her without her hiding behind any walls or putting up a front. This is raw Katherine. And yes a part of her is just a girl who loves a guy (the part of her that she easily hid as a vampire and ran away from so it wouldn't become her weakness!), but the other part of her is selfish and would do anything to get what she wants which is Stefan rn (the part that was amplified as a vampire and the reason for her survival). sorry for the rant lmao i don't expect anyone to read all this, i got carried away lol

And for me she was the biggest highlight of this seasons as a human, but here even tho she is great as she is, the survivor, what happened with Elena was too much for me. This episode would have been perfect ending. Especially after she got a little redemption now.

Elena being with Damon has learned to be less dramatic, fall in love with life and think a little about herself, pay attention to her excessive goodness and compassion so that she often falls victim to others but as soon as they have drifted away, Elena fell back into her goodness and once again someone took advantage of it, even for this, despite being troubled together, they need each other.

@@scrapper2022 With his brother yes, he loves his brother so much and does everything for him about this there is nothing to say but he is also the first one who verbally, emotionally and sentimentally hurts his brother, he considers himself better than Damon, I said it more often "I'm good brother" I do good, when he told Damon in season 4 that he knew Elena couldn't fall in love with someone like him, and Damon was upset and Stefan apologizes that he realized the bullshit said or when Damon hid from Stefan that Lexi asked him to go because so Stefan doesn't go back to being the ripper there too he said something arrogant to him and Damon told him you don't know how things went many other occasions , he considers himself better than Damon and doesn't know how many beautiful things Damon has done for him so feeling better than others and always saying it is arrogance. Stefan just because Damon was mad at him in season 1 and the "bad guy" always thought bad about Damon, this episode Stefan starts to see who his brother is and how much he loves him too but so far he has said over and over again my brother he is bad I am the good, I am not like my brother, before with Aron he had said to him "we are not all like my brother" without knowing why Damon did everything judged forgetting that when he suffered he wanted revenge and hurt innocent people just like Damon. Stefan is like that sometimes but I love many things about him he is a very good friend, romantic, reasonable, cool, sensitive I call him the blue prince that every girl dreams of having next to him.

Bro, your reaction to Klaroline was everything. The randomest thing on this show by far. Also just goes to show Klaus was going to push it until he got his way... regardless of anyone else 🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, I really did not care to see whatever emo scenes they put for Katherine in this episode because she’s done so much harm that she could not redeem herself and taking a trip down the memory lane about her beginnings didn’t mean much to me. Just my opinion. I was always glad to see her gone, and what happened in the end of this episode just further confirmed it. She is not a survivor. She’s a user and manipulator. 💀 Although Elena’s reaction to Katherine was EVERYTHING. It also demonstrates JUST HOW AMAZING of a person Elena really is. BTW, idk if you know this but this is the 100th episode of the show. That's why we had Klaus, Rebekah, Elijah, Alaric, Jenna, John, Vikki, Tyler all make appearances. Rewatching this show has made me realize how much I actually like Stefan, because he's always been a character I never really cared about. But him being able to look past everything that Katherines done, and not forgive her, but move past it, and to change her memories to be happier was very sweet of him and he didn't have to do that.

Beautiful Bonnie, the most balanced of the three, is mature, always with a smile on her lips, leaning on her friend who broke up with her boyfriend, never a word out of place, maybe she doesn't even agree that Elena is with Damon but she does her own thing and supports her friend, Caroline 😒 once again poking her nose into Elena's life, coming and having her celebrate Damon's breakup was in bad taste, I don't know how Elena allows him.
