boythatlife It was explained that Cade did something to the magic on bell that cause harm to the witches. So he could raise and unleash Hell's fire. I'm sure when the witches spelled the bell they had no intentions of it hurting them as well, just the sirens. However, Bonnie, is different because she is a psychic as well as a witch and it pissed me off that Plec just dropped the ball on that altogether.

Bonnie has literally been suffering all these seasons I'm surprised she hasn't committed suicide TBH. I do admit I don't like happy endings cause sometimes they're unrealistic, but I think bonnie should've been happy since she's been suffering since the beginning. Let's see: Season 1: Bonnie loses her grams Season 2: She's being pushed into the vampire world when she doesn't want to be Season 3: Literally just being used by vampires Season 4: Out of control cause of expression and is almost dying every episode, DOES die at the end Season 5: Dead like the whole season and when she's alive she's suffering because of the other side Season 6: trapped all alone in the prison world Season 7: Feels weak because her magic is basically useless Season 8: Has no powers and loses Enzo.

This episode was full of amazing performances but the scenes with Abby and Bonnie really did it for me and it was so heartfelt of what Abby was telling her daughter and apologizing for not being there like she was suppose to. She risked Bonnie being pissed at her for burning Enzo rather than risking her having to suffer in hell and making a huge mistake that she can't pull herself out of like other circumstances. Such a powerful and well done scene!! Glad Abby came back.

Here's a thought: the Bennett line is one of the oldest and most powerful witch lines of the series. they successfully created the other sides and had a hand in every powerful spell. The Bennett line is intertwined and connected to other families in surprising ways. hence the connection with Tessa and amara/Silas, Emily and katherine/Stefan/Damon, and so on and so forth. in the scene with the maxwell and Bennett scene of the Burning of the witches, the Bennett witch was spared. Could it be that the actual secret to Cade and his death might actually have to do with the Bennett witch line, specifically Bonnie, who has had tampered with all type of magic ( dark, spirit, expression, etc). Even if Bonnie currently doesn't have the ability to use magic, grams in season 1 did say that in times of great emotion can a witch's power truly be amplified. Bonnie has let out such an emotion when Enzo died that she opened a door. it is possible that she also reactivated her magic. meaning her magic never left her, it was just dormant. remember when she got her powers back when Damon was about to be killed by Kai. I truly believe Bonnie, being the sacrificial hero, has everything to do with Cades death.

In addition, remember when Cade was burned at the stake? he let out a psychic blast so strong that it created it's own world. If Bonnie has the energy and emotion to let out a psychic blast like Cade at Enzos death to open the door to hell, then that means that Bonbon is hiding something and that she is to the same level if not more than cade. think about it. Cade was only a psychic. Bonnie is a badass witch that has used every type of magic to date. she has been willing to drop everybody who gets in the way to save her friends. I think we can all agreev that the main reason people still even watched the show was for bonnie storyline. I get so frustrated when Elena fans say that Elena has lost everyone so her situation is justified. Uhh no. she still has people that love her and Jeremy is still alive. so Elena needs to grow a pair and be a grown up, I was tired of her crybaby ways. Bonnie is a person who has lost everything. her grams died in season 1, to help her friends. her father died by being an innocent bystander. she grew up without a mother, because of a vampire. anyone can tell you that for a long time during the series that bonnie was living all by herself for most of the series. none of you all have any Idea how hard that must be for bonnie. not to mention, when all hell breaks loose, all the vampires and other immortal creatures come kissing up to bonnie instead of fixing their own problems. every single time bonnie has to get involved with their issues that have nothing to do with her, someone close to her or herself ends up dying.

I always go back to the arc of the qetsiyea and Silas/amara storyline. the Bennett and Salvatore is where this tvd univ started and it seems to be playing to Stefan and bonnie and even elena. which Stefan and Elena are doppelganger s but bonnie is not...so am trying to find the end connection between those three. you are right cade was just a psychic and bonnie a witch which gives her more power than cade...but how all of a sudden they just throw in the matt connection. I understand how Emily threw in Damon as protector of the Bennett line cuz he is a Salvatore and I don't understand how lost that connection in 1864 and it was given to Damon instead. if we could figure out those story arc to what is going on now or I should say if the show had dove into that aspect of it the show would have been so much more interesting instead of we must constantly save elena so she can have sex with Damon. cuz really I don't see where she has contributed anything worthwhile to the show.

They keep screwing Bonnie over every damn season! You'd think with it being the FINALE Bonnie would finally get some damn happiness and a life she damn well deserves! The only thing they did okay was finally including Matt and giving him a storyline and gain/power over people...
