I genuinely want to feel bad for Stefan, but it is so freaking hard for me when he went to that extreme, all in the name of revenge on Klaus, yet there are no consequences at all. All he has to do is say 'I went too far', and that is that... no push back, no nothing. When Damon apologizes for force-feeding her his blood in a desperate attempt to make sure she wouldn't stay dead after the sacrifice all HE gets is an "I need time... maybe a LOT of time". It's like Stefan just has this immunity to accountability, blame or any consequences for his worst actions that is just so baffling and frustrating to me. Damon on the other hand gets blamed, villainized, and looked down on as being undeserving of the same empathy, understanding and forgiveness that is just automatically given to his brother. Oh well, I guess I never would have fallen so hard for Damon's character if unjust things like that didn't awaken my protective instincts, and made me feel for him in deeper ways than I do most characters, so in the end I am glad they wrote it like that. And to be fair, Stefan makes it impossible not to love him, He will soon do the next amazing thing that will make me forget this annoyance and frustration, because that is just who he is, and what he always inevitably does any time there has been something like this that makes me annoyed or frustrated with his character 😍

I agree, I think the fact he never really has to take accountability for his actions unlike most the other characters, is what has kept me from really liking his character as much as the others

@@miadavies1575 yeah, it definitely works against his character as it just makes you want to scream at your screen "but you freaking CRUCIFIED Damon for that! Are NONE of you going to do the same here? NO ONE?! Okay then, you suck!!!" And I don't even know that you can blame Stefan for it, because it just seems to be this automatic "well, it's STEFAN, so OF COURSE we won't hesitate to forgive and forget!" response that Stefan receives without really having to DO anything. Still, it always bothers me 😂

@@miadavies1575 I think it's telling that the characters of the show mostly brush off Stefan's wrong doings because he's a *ripper* and that's treated like a disease. In doing so they don't blame him as they should. And that's why most of the time Stefan is a martyr and blames himself, because no one else does. Not saying that I agree with how the writers chose to do it, but I think it's intentional. And of course I feel like because we are presented at the beginning of the show with the idea that Damon is the *bad guy* and he has done apprehensive things to characters that we know and feel attached to, where as until now Stefan only has been horrible in flashbacks and characters we really don't know, it's easier to forgive him. We don't know them so they don't matter as much. And now that he is doing those things to our main group he has the excuse that Klaus made him. So again, the excuse is he's not really that much to blame. That's for me the main difference. Damon gets the hate because he's done it to people we know and love and that's the bias most people have (the audience and the tv characters). It's the double standard that I really dislike when reading comments or watching the show. Sorry for the long post.

He literally forced fed Elena his blood lmaooo when she wanted to not be a vampire 💀. Stefan was also wrong with the bridge scene no biased. But you guys ignore the fact that both his girlfriend and brother screws him over while he’s out protecting the girl he loves and out here saving his brother 💀. Actually in the episode where Rebekah tells the family history she says that one of the brothers died and that's why they moved to the new world, that's the missing one we never saw. And Henry is the one that died because of the werewolves, so that makes seven siblings. The three we already know Klaus, Elijah and Rebekah and two more we haven't met before.

I love how Elena says she doesn’t feel guilty for kissing Damon, because she shouldn’t be, Stefan broke up with her after everything Elena has done to help him and he’s still rejecting her, she doesn’t owe him anything. It’s just my opinion don’t attack me please!

Welcome back Stefan ... from the world of bad guys ... Elena needed to kiss Damon to be good again 🙄🙄. Elena was keen to tell Stefan that she kissed Damon to make Stefan react and she succeeded, she didn't have to be with him it had to remain personal because, she and Damon are not in a relationship, it's nothing definite. And Stefan could spare Damon from the punch until now all that mattered was revenge on Klaus 😏 ... in the end.
