The party scene is a perfect example of how Elena acts to please her friends, she wasn’t “completely out of control” she was feeding and dancing and she didn’t kill anyone but because she wasn’t miserable while feeding then suddenly she’s horrible💀 And you can see the change on her face when she sees Bonnie, immediately she goes into “oh well I most be doing something terrible” and starts to have a breakdown over being judge when she was fine before Bonnie appeared, also notice how she went to “I should be here with Stefan, I shouldn’t be here with him” which tells us she’s more concerned with being judged for having fun with Damon than for her feeding.

and this is exactly WHY she didn't 'choose' damon at the end of season 3 not because she didn't want to but because she was afraid of what people would think and was constantly told stefan was the 'good'/'safe' option (and she literally says that hen talking with matt as to why she likes both the brothers, with stefan it was because he felt 'safe' and with damon it was 'she couldn't shake him' aka she already had a hard time holding back her feelings concerning him) now with her memories restored of damon AND her heightened emotions as a vampire it's harder for her to hold back any longer from what she really wants tbh

You're right vampire Elena is a lot more carefree than human Elena which is why i prefer her, and it could be how she was before she lost her parents and now she's finally able to experience some of that freedom and happiness again.

I honestly don't get why everyone was mad at Elena for having fun at the party and dancing?? Like the first time she lets go and can be her old self again and somehow that's a bad thing? So what if she's feeding on blood at the same time, it's not hurting anyone plus Damon's there to make sure she stays in control. Feeding on blood doesn't have to be horrible and guilt-filled like it is for Stefan and she can learn to enjoy and love herself. I get if Bonnie didn't like the fact that she was dancing with Damon considering she was with Stefan, but other than that Elena 'wasn't out of control' and it was so nice seeing her happy for once

Elena was actually a party girl before her parents die. She was basically the IT girl, she got the perfect family,a good boyfriend, two besties and she's a cheerleader. After her parents die, she became this quiet girl, but you can see her fun side when she's with Damon, like she actually have fun. This is why I ship *Delena* a little more than Stelena because elena and damon understands each other better, Stefan didn't want her to feed drink and wanted her to feed on animals, instead I'm aware that Elena also don't wanna kill/feed on people. But she's a vampire and that's her nature, Damon teach her how to feed without killing them and he put her completely under control.

That dance scene is a really great MDMA metaphor. Elena wants to try it, but do it in a safe environment with someone that has experience with it and is gonna make sure that she stays safe and doesn't overdo it. The party environment, the music and dancing comes together as she's peaking. Then her old high school friends show up, see her on drugs and judge the fuck out of her. So her nice, safe roll turns bad as she second guesses herself and lets negative thoughts overshadow her feelings. Suddenly that great feeling turns into "I'm a junkie addict" and ruins the whole experience.

Klaus needed that information and he made his point he just said that night. Stephan showed her a little attention and she she said everything they needed. Klaus doesn't want to dagger Rebekah, just look at his face its breaking his heart. She is a huge liability and to much of a wild card to trust. It does suck but i understand why he daggered her in this case.

Elena is not changing just "killing" and hunting tendencies come w being a vampire. And whatever else is happening is just every feeling in her being heightened (which happens after becoming a vampire). What you said around 15:42 is also true, and one can be both carefree and enjoy stuff while being as compassionate and kind - both are sides of elena's character.

there's this saying: friends know you better than whoever you're in relationship with. what i'm trying to say here is people in the show are against elena and damon cause they know elena inside-out as any friend does. so they know that whatever damon's motto is and i quote: "we enjoy the hunt, the feed and the kill" is everything elena hates. while i'm sure he knows that too he still deliberately tells her it's the best thing to do.

I like Rebekah but after she killed Alaric she didn't fit or fill necessary in the show for me. At some point, she just felt like a nuisance but I still feel bad for how she gets treated sometimes especially when she didn't do anything to deserve it and I even like her more in Originals.

⚠️⛔️SPOLIER ALERT yeah, but now that she’s a vampire of course she wants the cure but if it’s for Jeremy to be in danger she doesn’t want it anymore. she also told Stefan many times to let go and she accepted that she changed and she just want to be loved and have support the way she is now until their is time to get the cure without anyone being in danger. Elena accepted who she is, gave a funeral for her human self with matt and she felt like an experiment and a broken toy which she said out of her own mouth. Stefan even admitted that he would always love her but “she’s not meant to be this person, I don’t want her to be” so he couldn’t really accept the way she was as a vampire since she’s nothing like Stefan as a vampire. he couldn’t love her as a vampire.

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS When you do something to help someone achieve their goals, just the fact that you're helping doesn't necessarily mean they need to be grateful to you. If Elena's "problem" was that she'd gained weight and wanted to lose it, and Stefan told her, "yeah, you've really put on a few pounds and you're just not nearly as attractive as you used to be, so if you want to lose weight I'll do anything I can to help you," he's still a major jackass, even though he just promised to help her achieve her goals. Well, that's basically how I see Stefan's pursuit of the cure for Elena. He's not doing it because it's what she wants, he's doing it because he doesn't find her as attractive as a vampire. He told Lexi once that one of the things he loved about Elena was that, when he was with her, he could forget he was a vampire. Well, now that she is a vampire, that doesn't work for him any more. She's a "broken toy" that he wants to fix. Not because she wants it, but because he doesn't like her as much this way.
