That scene with Damon apologizing to his mom makes me cry everytime. Stefan is able to remember and accept his dark past and moves on and became a stronger and better person from it without trying real hard to not repeat his past mistakes but Damon is different he just completely shuts down and never let's anyone see his true emotions and will never admit when he needs help and he won't accept any support. He'll just put on an act like he doesn't have a care in the world until he himself believes it. When Tragedy strikes he's just broken and doesn't know how to feel its so sad just like Klaus its always the bad boys that hide their emotions. Klaus and Damon are so similarin that way....
