Very interesting video Tom - thanks. You made a great job of sorting out that pipework mess around the oil boiler. My heart sinks when I see a load of copper joined with speedfit; it just looks bad as much as anything. Two man soldering was impressive! I suppose that’s a situation is when Yorkshire solder ring fittings are handy! Great to hear you’ve booked a holiday!

Had a repair today that stumped me! Viessmann (eww) system boiler S-plan! Dhw or ch on its own worked fine! Both on same time the boiler temp shot up and kept knocking off...was like 🤔 started when new cyl was put in...figured out no gate valve on flow to cyl = water was finding quickest route when both demands on and going to cyl and coming back hot af...new gate valve, sorted! ✌️ learned summin new! 🤯

Is the tubing on those remote TRVs not ripe for damage, or did someone come along after and put some protection/trunking in?

The cables were all hidden behind the rad covers and the sensors just sat next to them with no wire showing. I thought I had filmed a finished one but couldn't find the footage, it was a bit of a mind numbingly job to be honest, thanks for watching 👍
