Love your videos! We just moved to Portugal last week, so your videos are coming in very handy. May I ask for your advice on an appropriate gift for our realtor who has helped us immensely. She has helped set up our water and electricity for us, and is also going with us to Finances to get our daughters their NIFs. We are very appreciative and would like to get her a gift, but the online searches so far are a little confusing. We are in Gaia if that helps for the region. Obrigada

Hi Rebecca! Welcome to my channel. Glad you enjoy my videos. As for the gift, it depends a bit on the age and how close you have become to her. In Portugal it is common to invite someone out for lunch or dinner as a thank you. If you feel that is a bit too much, there are usually some cute gourmet baskets you can find at stores with a mix of items like coffee, tea, cookies, jam... Hope this helps!

Olá Rachel! Obrigada pelo comentário. Só para clarificar pode-se usar o presente ou o imperfeito como fizeste nos exemplos, mas os significados são diferentes. Estamos aqui há 3 anos - We have been here for 3 years. Estávamos aqui há três anos (normalmente seguido de quando) - We were here 3 years ago (when)... Boa semana!

O verbo Haver é provavelmente o mais mal tratado pelos portugueses, a maior parte não sabe conjugar o presente do indicativo, mesmo aqueles que usam este verbo corretamente. A confusão entre "à" e "há" ou mesmo invenções como "á", "hà" e "ha" é gritante quando lemos comentários aqui na net... Outro erro muito comum é o clássico "hás-de" vs "há-des". Não considero o verbo Haver fácil de aprender 😁
