I agree with Scott when it comes to Spirits. I understand the need to remove trophies. They probably took a lot of time to implement. I'd be okay with them downgrading trophies to flat images if they still had descriptions. Not having that makes me not care about collecting them. Edit: Also this is great. You should do this for Brawl and Melee.

I heard it was actually the descriptions themselves that took the longest time to implement. Imagine every Spirit in Ultimate had a description. Now, imagine the poor saps who had to translate 1200+ descriptions into 10+ languages. A lot of phrases from the Trophies required direct communication with the Japanese team and occasionally the original developers to decipher what certain things meant. I imagine it was mainly the descriptions, as opposed to the 3D models, that was the primary source of frustration for the development team.

The reason they didn’t show the genesis logo on silver’s trophy is BC his first appearance was in sonic 06 which is referred as “Sonic The Hedgehog” in smash 4 and is technically it’s official name. Sonic 06 was only released on Sony and Microsoft consoles, which they apparently couldn’t show.

I like Smash Ultimate, but the Spirits showcase woulda gone a long way to be better by adding descriptions or bios. The Vaults of the past games do fantastic in being courses in Nintendo history. Ultimate has a bit of that with the Spirit Battles and Classic Mode routes, but really is catered only to the hardcores as opposed to past entries that could appeal to the newcomers.

Luka Megurine wavedashing isn’t a glitch and i don’t understand why yoh are insisting on bashing them. and i don’t think it’s bad for them to cater to the competitive scene either, they are just half-assing it and placing restrictions on themselves for no reason. Melee is one of the best smash games by far because of the fact that it has a wealth of content from classis/all-star/events/trophies etc. AND because it has some of the smoothest gameplay. i honestly think the best thing to do is strive more towards Melee mechanically since it’s the most fun to control while also retaining that archive/historical feel in its content

idk... smash 4 theme is just kinda bland to me. I think ultimate adding lyrics to its theme made it more memorable. brawl has the most unique theme in the series, but hey, that's Nobuo Uematsu for you, one of the greatest composers in the world. melee's opening song really seems to be written specifically to fit the movie closely, and my goodness it's epic. anyway, smash 4, I don't know, its theme just doesn't stand out to me.

@@aoBubs for me smash 4's song is best to listen to outside of the context of the game; basically, I think it's the most satisfying to listen to. Melee is my favorite in-game. I like Brawl's a lot, but it's not really my style of music. Finally, Lifelight is kinda dumb to me. It feels like they just threw together the cheesiest lyrics they could think of, like SOUL and HEART and GOOD ansd EVIL which kind of ruins it for me; the lyrics don't really stick. The instrumental is great though. Tl;dr smash 4's is the most satisfying, melee's is most fitting, brawl's is impressively composed but not my style, and ultimate is too cheesy

Motion Sensor Bomb was redesigned in Smash 4 but in Smash DX it's based on Perfect Dark and based on 007 in the international version. Due to the game coming out after Rare was bought out the Motion Sensor Bomb & Cloaking Device both say they're from TOP SECRET.

No you're not (Fun fact the idea for Punch-Out originated when Nintendo purchased too many arcade screens when Donkey Kong became a success and had to find ways to use two screens for games and that's where we got it from.)
