Classic tune by the Velvets. Kind of a lame cover job but it's amateur and unique. At the very least, it's honest and quirky. It has heart and it's offbeat. Isn't most of life just like that? Offbeat?

To all the people who said amazingly sweet things about my voice and this cover, I can't thank you enough. That's incredibly sweet. This is by far my most watched video on KZbin but I'm actually not a huge fan of it or my performance. That said I can see why it resonates with so many of you. It has nothing to do with me! Hah! The Velvets version of Heroin is such an emotional and moving song--which is why I wanted to attempt it. I've thought about re-recording this as my current self--wiser, more experienced and definitely fatter too! I could do it better but why change it? I kinda like that a video documenting my not-so-distant-past self (but feels very distant) awkwardly thumbing and bumbling through six minutes and two seconds of a renditioned classic makes people feel happy. Or angry. Or sad. Or anything. Just feeling anything is rewarding to me. Thank you again.

@ajgree6 Yeah no problem, being in the moment kinda works cause even if you screw stuff up it still works cause your feeling ties everything together you know? (not saying you screwed up haha) Sometimes passion is better than actual talent. Mix talent with passion and you got a good combo. That keyboard was a really nice touch too, good idea. I think too, that people without passion can't sing. Its easy to follow without passion but singing is hard to do without, you pulled it off though.
