Mcgregor did pretty decent against khabib in that first fight, he held khabib to 40% takedown rate and won round 3. Khabib is going to take any opponent down and have some success. I think Conor can win a rematch but I think tony wins vs khabib first

I believe Conner has a smart game plan he is coming in to fight cowboy at 170 getting used to carrying more weight so when he drops down to 145 155 his stamina will be higher than usuall . Conner lost to kabib at a bad time in his life he was constantly traveling for the last three years away from his gym his coach his way of life that made him a champ . now he is hungry again and 145 155 170 is in trouble . I can't weight he is the reason I started watching UFC again . I know he has trouble outside the ring but he is human and deserves a chance to show us he can change

People often forget to point out the huge difference in McGregor’s stance from the Eddie fight to after the Mayweather bout when he become heavy footed. The best thing about Mac was his movement & his laser precision until I see that he’s gotten his movement back - this could very easily be a loss for him.

If Conor loses it’s not at all the end of his career. Jorge Mazvidal has plenty of losses. This fight is a tough fight for Conor and the fans, as Conor and Cowboy are huge fan favorites. Conor will get the rematch with Khabib if he really wants it but I don’t know that it will matter as Khabib is due to lose and is fighting the best fighter at 155 next. Ferguson is dangerous, especially for those who’s entire game is done in so close. I don’t know how Khabib will do when he’s being throttled with those elbows and he will get hit. That fight will be huge. If Ferguson does win, Conors interest in the Khabib rematch will be long gone. If Khabib wants his legacy to be as big as some of these other guys, he needs to go fight at 170. He’s undefeated but for some reason it feels a bit less impressive than Silva, GSP, Jones or Mighty Mouse and even Conor. Two weight champ, the first ever. That’s legacy. Cowboy already has cemented himself in the history books as an all time great. If he wins or loses, it changed nothing, he’s still all time great.

He also knocked everyone out that he fought at 145 accept Max Holloway, who he wrestled and dominated. Now, if you want to talk about what he’s done since Mayweather, I can’t defend any of the poor decisions he’s made. But, what would you do if you were 29, from a small town outside Dublin and suddenly worth hundreds of millions of dollars and the most famous athlete on the planet? No one is ready for that. The greatest mixed martial artists of all time have won defended their championships and dominated for years through strikes headkicks submissions decisions etc.... isn't it amazing that Conor is known for just one thing, a counter left hand... There are those who think it's because with massive UFC backing he anorexiced down to 145 with a 74 inch reach at the perfect time near the end of Aldos career getting into his head and making him make the mistake of basically diving into conors left hand and then beating a one-time champ in Alvarez to hold two titles simultaneously that he would never defend setting him up for a fight with Floyd Mayweather to make more money than any MMA fighter in history in a fight where Floyd (Having learned from the Diaz fight) would stand right in front of him moving just enough for conor to feel himself connecting so continue to try the the same thing over and over until he was gassed out and Floyd then took over. But now he's back to show the world again what he is really about for those who haven't known all along. If he gets through Cowboy I hope he fights Masvidal or Khabib or Usman that would be a dream come true 👍👍👍
