@@ethiopianphenomenon6574 i dont know why ppl disregard conors cardio tbh, conor was outsriking diaz in the 5th handily. conors terrible cardio is a myth like diazs unbeatable cardio or holloways impenetrable td defence
@kaankoksal14124 жыл бұрын
ethiopian phenomenon Conor’s cardio isn’t even that bad though, he was outstriking Alvarez at a high pace for 2 rounds straight and didn’t look tired at all. He dominated Diaz in their rematch in the fourth round and the beginning of the fifth round. The only time he has gassed was in his first fight against Diaz and that was on short notice PLUS he was on antibiotics cause of his staph infection. Against Khabib he looked good conditionally even though he was getting mauled for three rounds.
@ethiopianphenomenon65744 жыл бұрын
stephen hartley I wouldn’t say Conor’s cardio’s is terrible and I never said that. The point I’m making is Conor’s lethalness goes down after the second round and Cowboy starts turning it up after the second round. Conor is not really a 5-round decision type of fighter despite his razor thin win over Nate Diaz. If Conor doesn’t knock him out early, Cerrone is going to trying to take him down and if Conors tired there is little he can do to stop it. Even Diaz took Conor down and Diaz has terrible wrestling.

@jakiiboi8 fight Usman? Who, Conor? Conor wouldn't fight Usman, that's not even his weight class. He was talking about fighting the winner of Diaz and Masvidal for the BMF belt because he's already fought Diaz. As far as him fighting gaethje, it's more about Conor getting rid of some ring rust before fighting the 3rd or 4th seed in his division, not because it's an *easy* fight. Gaethje isn't the number #1 contender either, that's Tony, and there's Poirier who beat gaethje.

I don't think that Conor is different than what he was against Aldo and Alvarez. I just think Conor got too big for his own good. His next two fights were against Floyd Mayweather and Khabib Nurmagomedov. Floyd is the best boxer who has ever lived. Of course Floyd mopped the floor with him. Khabib is the best grappler in MMA history. The worst matchup for any striker, and had never even surrendered a single round. Of course Khabib destroyed him. The competition level was simply too high for Conor. Little Aldo and journeyman Eddie are not the same level as Floyd and Khabib.

@Ahmed Ibrahim It's Khabib vs Tony time, and Conor is absolutely not getting a rematch for beating another journeyman Cowboy at 170 if he can even manage that. After Khabib vs Tony, I think Khabib probably waits for a GSP fight, or retires. There's no one else left at that point. Machachev is on the come up, and by the end of 2020, will have potentially secured a shot at the title. By that time Khabib will be long gone.

You have to respect the fact that Conor have like 100million $+ net worth and he still keeps coming back . He could easily double his networth from his whiskey alone but the man choose to come back and fight for his people and himself. That's not easy. Besides he's fighting not for the money. He mentioned in one of his interview that one of his big pay check of a 2020 fight will fully be going to charity.. Nothing but respect for him ..

to late... he assaulted a man in a bar which is a criminal offence in most countries and punishable by law and if convicted could result in jail time or maybe prison. it seems he bought his way out of it somehow possibly the video evidence was not strong enough and he likely paid off the victim as well. he couldn't admit to it in the interview cos that would be admitting to a crime in which case the authorities would likely be forced to arrest him. prehaps he was a good man before fame but clearly not such a good man after fame. money corrupts.

After this interview I have to say, have to believe with anyone, that people make mistakes both big and small, due to an infinite amount of reasons and factors, can change themselves and lives for the better, out of the ashes of what once was. I personally relate to this. If this is what Conor is doing then I’m fucking behind him 100%.... everyone deserves a second chance to improve, change for the better and make a course change for the better

Idk man, he’s made it hard for me to respect him or want to support him. He lost me at the khabib fight build up, with the bus attack, and the cringey pressers. Then all the stuff that’s happened since is disappointing. But people can turn stuff around. But it also can be irritating when Dana is talking about him skipping over contenders who have been putting in huge work and getting a rematch for fighting cowboy at 170. So it’s always lame when you see business and promotion making money over the sport integrity. But oh well. And another thing. And I’m not alone on this, I have huge respect for cowboy and his abilities. And I hate to doubt him or not believe in him. But I mean come on, he’s lost 6 out of his last 10 or something. He obviously can win this fight, but it does seem like the ufc knows this is make or break, and that they must make sure conor can get a W. Stylisticly it looks bad for cowboy. Hope he doesn’t fight like he did against Gaethje. And I’ll be rooting for him. If Conor gets past cowboy, he should fight at least one of the top 4 at 155 before even talks of khabib rematch. If that’s what conor even wants. Can’t trust Dana. Maybe Conor wants to stay at 170. Who knows. Conor was also dead set on trying to convince everyone that khabib is some terrible human being at the pressers in Russia. And with all his shit going on, it was strange to me. Khabib is certainly not my favorite fighter or top ten favorites, but what did he do that’s so terrible? I know they have rivalries but it just didn’t seem wise to trash someone else while you’ve been getting into stuff yourself. I could respect conor as a fighter again, but it’ll take more than a win against cowboy, who is a badass, but Conor back in the day was in a league above him imo.
@SoundwormBite4 жыл бұрын
Yea fully agree, he still gonna try to convince everyone that Khabib is a terrible human being and by the look of things the entire Dagestan as well, i can't respect that. As a fighter he may earn it again but it won't ever be the same again to me.

@@umso2858 Entertainment? I don't need to listen to some gobshite pikey to tell me what I like about MMA. There have been many Champions before McGregor and most of them kept their mouths shut and used their skill and talent to sell the sport. I agree about Conor will be more prepared, more serious, about his next bout with Khabib, let’s say he gets passed Donald, it will probably reinforce that his hard work is paying off, and will be more dangerous than ever. However I think his problem is bigger than that, khabib is simply too big a mountain to climb, I don’t think he can out wrestle khabib, and that’s what he needs to do against an opponent that wrestles from the beginning of the fight till the end of it. The best version of Conner will loose to the best version of khabib nine times out of ten. And I think that khabib will never show up to a Conner fight in anything less than his best version. That’s my two cents.
@muss20554 жыл бұрын
Conor does not deserve an rematch. he never defended his belt, he hasnt won since 4 years and he got dominated. he needs an 6 to 8 fight winstreak in 155. he fights against cowboy in 170, that fight has nothing to do with khabib.
@charlessullivan84774 жыл бұрын
Conner the old version, before the money, before the broken hand, when he still had ko power had as good of a chance to beat khabib as anyone. The only way to beat him is to land the shot that can ko him when he puts his head down to barrel through for a takedown
