Hopefully we get a great Library this Time. It was a bit too late in Jerigypt. VE Writing is so much better than the Learning Desks imo. They will still sit at a Desk until they´re 25 to level up a Skill but you actually get to show something for it. A Book to educate future Generations. And as a Bonus, usually the Name of the Colonist is in the Books Title.

If Alpha chose to lose her "perfect memory" because she wanted to forget her trauma, I feel like there schould be a way for her to get it back later. For example: A colonist she is close friends with dies of old age. And she doesn't want to forget them. She lost her memory because of grief, but maybe she can learn to allow herself to become attached again. To accept that dying is part of humans, and to love them regardless.

Tol had been sent by her leader to attack the heretics. That was all she knew. Her and two colleagues - Gamma had promised weakness to be purged and sent them on their way. Tol would've rather been mining, truth be told, or even hefting a club or a spear, as she was better at that than using a bow - but Gamma's word was law. There was only one person, true - but 'weak' was not the word that Tol would use to describe her. She came from seemingly nowhere, striking down Tol's colleagues with the grace of a predator. She'd seen sneak-attacking dinosaurs before, and this person who looked similar to Gamma reminded her too much of them. Rational thought left her, at that point - all she had was the prey-instinct to _run run run_ and the burning of her muscles and the feel of a useless useless useless bow in her hand and the _pain pain pain_ of stingers driving into her - was this some power or - no, it was hornets, and she'd fled one destroyer into another one and they left her alone when she collapsed - no longer a threat to the hive, she'd recognise later. Blood in her mouth, blood in her eyes, the desperate need to go _away._ Gentle hands picking her... no, that couldn't be right, could it? But the smooth hands that held her (so similar to Gamma's, yet not) cradled her closer and spoke soft words that she was too pain-blurred to understand. She'd gained a fuzzy sort of consciousness later, anything beyond basic awareness blotted out by pain and illness. Again, gentle hands bandaged her wounds with poultices. A voice soothed her by asking about all sorts of inconsequential things. "Aren't you just the most beautiful thing," Tol heard, and a tiny part of her preened. The same hands and the same voice consoled her through fever-induced delirium, mopping her brow and whispering that it would all be okay. When she awoke (fully, this time, without the sickness or the venom coursing through her), she got answers. The woman-archoseed-person who'd rescued her was called Alpha, and she'd been so lonely. She asked Tol about her life (far more than Gamma had done, what with his stratified society and her being merely one of his warriors). She'd told her about the joys of tunneling, of hearing stone sing as you chipped away at it, and Alpha had promised her that that would be one of her main jobs. Alpha was lonely, it turned out. Alpha wanted - no, needed, a friend. But when Tol Balecurve looked upon her, she saw more. Alpha was not just a potential friend, but Tol's potential *queen.*

Alpha deciding to bury the colonist she never met just out of a sense of decency is a nice touch, but how about taking it further? What about giving every enemy a proper burial? I've always tried to do that in my playthroughs, I attribute that to having read Ajax shortly before buying Rimworld, and it is actually a surprising challenge. I usually settle on building a fancy crematorium and performing some kind of ritual in it rather than create a giant graveyard.
@DoomslsАй бұрын
I've also done it a few times with the giant graveyard, but after a while it's just a massive lag source. It would be really sick though to see a sprawling graveyard with increasingly fancy gravestones and tombs etc as the colony grows and develops though!

Generally burial is time appropriate for anytime that funerals might have happened. Funerals tend to follow a form of: one of the 4 elements. Meaning you get returned to the earth, fire, water, or air. So most funerals have generally always been, burial, burning, river/burial at sea, or left for the animals, usually carrion birds (although other animals I’m sure). So graves are fine. Hope this helps Mr streamers immersion.

Circular houses were actually more common in ancient times, cause corners are harder to build with low tech. You'll notice teepees, igloos and old mud brick houses are domes/circular. Alpha was clearly traumatized by last episode, and going on a wall-building, dino killing rampage was a suitable response. You could easily imagine that trauma spiraling into paranoia - Queen Alpha, obey always, get them before they get us... HOWEVER: Alpha let the tame dino in. She made a new friend. And she chose to forget. I think Alpha has learnt a lot about humans, and will be more cautious in the future, but she's not running for the hills. Caves offer safety for humans, and after her brush with death Alpha is more 'human', but I think she'd stay in the open and fight. Because bloody stubbornness is also a human trait.
