The rif between Bob Bogle and Mel Taylor was a tip of the cap to Bob Haggart and Ray Bauduc's rendition of Big Noise From Winnetka. For those who know a drummers.

@Subspace2003 The first Caravan('60 or '61) played by Bob Bogle with a Jazzmater is my favorite. Agogo, thanks for this high quality upload. Mel Taylor was probably the most underrated drummer of all time.

Mel Taylor is a good drummer. If asked for a drum solo, he's got 2. "Wipe Out" (kids favorite solo) and "Caravan". He doe not have an original drum solo.

Drummer is Mel's son Leon Taylor right now. Their recorded1964 Caravan was different guitar technic it was quite difficult.

Please don't call this great drumming far far from great drumming. When we talk of Great Great Drumming there is only one Drummer who would and could put Mel Taylor to shame. The mans name was Buddy Rich. Buddy Rich any drum solo that he was featured on would completely over whelm Mel Taylor. There is no ands ifs or buts Buddy Rich was and still is the Greatest Drummer to Draw Breath. Once again repeat Buddy Rich the Worlds Greatest Drummer.
