I have held this track so close to me, since my Traumatic Brain Injury. Yes, my body is disabled, in need of a wheelchair, but this song, along with many other Verve tracks, kept my mind straight! Thank you. 'A beautiful mind or a beautiful body, I know which one I'm gonna end up with'

This is beautiful music ... The Verve was a unique band ... odd really, but in the years forward, many forward, the dissimilarity they had to others will be what distinguishes them, the outlier in data science, ... so year many years from now ... forward ... you can imagine ... the lone researcher ... 1000 years from now ... looking for something distinct from this time , will run the algorithm and find the distance, dis-similarity, the outlier .... and then there will come a gem ... this.

I've listened to the verve since I was a teen heather and never stopped. .. Richard Ashcroft has lots of solo stuff as well which is amazing. ..The lyrics are stunning, honestly real genius in the depth of his songwriting. .. Are you UK based ? I'm just curious because I'm not sure if this music has been really noticed elsewhere. Although the verve and Richard ashcroft are well known in south America and Italy.

I'm like Heather Propes just beginning an amazing journey.I don't know why this music wasn't promoted in the U.S. I'm liking finding such a huge body of work to enjoy for the first time. @@msmarlarenee1 To lock out competition from home grown product they had vested interests in maybe? Truth is I don't know. I know you had to tour the full USA thoroughly and repeatedly, plus have radio on your side, and have the backing from TV back in those days. Whether they couldn't perhaps fulfil those magic 3 together, not sure. But I do know that in other art forms, the movies for example, Hollywood locked out British made movies intentionally in the 20th century whilst we were playing their American ones, and the governance bodies here were complaining of unfair trade practice for decades over the movie industry tactics, but the guys who owned Hollywood and likely the music industry out there as I understand it, were never that versed in traditional American ( European rooted culture ) with principles of fair competition, being more recent immigrant of oriental origins since 1885 themselves, and bringing with them mastery in all the darker practise of monopoly and the cartel were preferred, and we can see it over here today, with the greed of these vipers (football club owners) over here with their European Super league ideas, men like Glazer, Levy, Abramovic, Kreonke etc all sharing that greed at the expense of good art or sport that triggers both emotion and competition an which is wrapped up in the peoples values culture and tradition.

Shane Cooper "A beautiful mind, or a beautiful body, I know which one I'm going to end up with..." I'd say it was about getting very high indeed! This was The Verve really knocking back the acid, the next album was written and recorded on lots and lots of MDMA. Richard Ashcroft was so high he saw Syd Barret in his sleeping bag!
