The Verve are a killer band.

I wonder if the people had any idea what they were witnessing at the time how historic this band would become. One thing is clear, the Verve never sucked. They were locked and loaded from the beginning. This a classic performance. King Richard and his blue quest knights doing battle.

i LOVE the little pause at the end (@ 3:17), with richard and pete givin' a quick "One, Two, Three!..." count before they slam back into the song.... one of the best Nick McCabe moments ever! (there are sooooo many). VERVELUV FEREVER!

@DylanEthanRide They were the Truth. Wish I could have seen this live. I really think The Verve was and still is so overlooked. They had a sound and mystique so original and captivating.

Actually... That venue is huge for them in 1993.

@chubbyfacejohn No it wasn't. I was there and it was sold out! I also saw Ride, Slowdive, My Bloody Valentine, Pale Saints, Chapterhouse, Stereolab, Catherine Wheel, and Swervedriver around the same year as this show. The Cabaret Metro was the perfect fit for all of those bands. I so wish I could return to those days. Man! Talk about fun!

All great bands. A lot more than just grunge was happening in 1991-1994 or so, that's for sure.

Oh sorry, But born again is a good music too.Of course, of course isn't as "blue" or other verve song. I hope see Ashcroft singing again by this way. Doesn't matter if he uses drugs or something like that. The fans wanna see Richard like a Rock Star, A psicodelic rock star and not, like a holy man. "Jesus stole our Richard Ashcroft" it's all.
