And not nearly as good. Shows how important McCabe was to The Verve.

Spungo Flex yeah I know nick played lead guitar which added to the song but Richard wrote the song which still sounds great just him and an acoustic to this day.

@@spungoflex3285 Tbf the primary guitarist on the album version is Simon Tong. Although Nick did finish off the production on the track and adding some licks on it

To me it’s the electric guitars of Mcabe and Tong that give this song it depth and sound …and the guitar solo on the album is the apex …..sounds flat here .
