If only Ashcroft and McCabe could've worked on themselves - we'd have more awesome music. The drummer and bassist could be replaced by a snap of the fingers, but McC and Ash were essential for any Verve song to work. The mood and the lyrics. Damn, what a fucking shame. Two talents clashing instead of working in unison.

I agree with part of that comment. However i dont think Simon and Pete Salisbury could be replaced at all ! They really are the backbone of the Verve! Listen to Lifes an Ocean live at Maida Vale and you'll know what i mean ❤

Just to add Simon Jones came up with so many great bass lines (Catching that Butterfly, New Decade) . And Pete's drumming is also so unique! All 4 (or even 5 ) need to get back together 😂
