Great video, one thing I like the most is that you didn’t just walk through the city but exploit the history of each scenery spot. As a native shanghainese who used to work in Jing an temple area, I had absolutely no idea of when Jing an temple was built.

You guys nailed it, great video and as a Shanghai local who lived in the city for 30 years I 100% endorse your choices. And really happy to see you guys enjoy your stay at Shanghai without running into scams :) Just a minor correction Nanjing Road you guys visited is Nanjing East road which is not considered the premium shopping area, but the most popular place for sure. The upscale boutiques and department stores are mostly located on Nanjing West Road and Huaihai Road. I don't think you two speak Chinese but you definitely did your homework on culture I never saw any visitors who can tell differences of Fu Lu Shou 福禄寿。

I've been watching your China videos, they are very informative and give you a really good feel of the cities. I've been to 30 odd countries but never China (except Shanghai airport transiting to Thailand and also once to Hong Kong in 1987), hopefully will get there soon. It is easier to get a subway day pass to travel around Shanghai. It is inexpensive and will save you the trouble of buying a ticket every time you take the subway.

We used a few different things. GoPro Hero 7 Black, Rode Lav Mics, Huawei P30 Pro and iPhone SX max, plus a Sony RX 100. This was all shot with very minimal gear. Cheers!
