The Very First Horror Game?? - Sweet Home - Episode 1

Actually the first horror game came out in '81. It was called "3D monster maze". It had no sound, but the subtitles made the game a bit unsettling. So I gueds you could call it a horror game.

It was a ZX game wasn't it? It actually kind of looks like fun lol.

@@MOSHBITS nope. Just wondering if you knew about the fan remake, Mother squared. (And the fan remake of the original MOTHER, named mother Encore) (Neither are out yet, but they will both be free, and will have LOTS of improvements over the originals) (And if you hadnt mentioned the romhack at some point I was going to suggest it. I enjoyed the 4 seconds I got to play of it before I passed out at 3:00 in the morning)

@Rebekah Henderson The Halloween hack is super good. I played through most of it after finishing Undertale for the first time, cuz I wanted to hear the original version of Megalovania lol. I have NOT heard of these remakes though, definitely gonna look into them. Hopefully Nintendo doesn't kill it though, like they usually like to do with any fan projects like that.
