Ok, I have the Vessel Player 4 and it's weighs 26 lbs loaded with clubs and stuff, and I love it. Best part, I can easily take off/on the shoulder strap and leave it behind when I ride in a cart (keeps it out of the way). Just purchased the VP Air because I wanted another bag, something a bit lighter that I would travel with more. It comes in about 5 lbs lighter (21 lbs loaded with my clubs and stuff). I also ordered the single strap because I like them to carry the bag (parking lot to club etc.) and it's more easily managed than dual strap. Overall, the bags are fantastic, I couldn't be happier (I've been playing golf for nearly 50 years).

Great to hear you're happy with them! Obviously I'm a big fan of their bags. And after using it more, the zippers bother me less and less on the Air.

I bought this bag without seeing it in person, and decided to go away from a 14 way top to try a 6 way for the first time, just processed an exchange for it to get the 14 way. I didn't realize before ordering but this is one of the only vessel bags with a 6 way top but only a two way divider, putting clubs in and out was driving me crazy. Looking forward to getting the 14 way version.
@wrichiex8 ай бұрын
Hi, can elaborate on the divider? You say there's only a 2 way divider on the 6 way top? How is the divider aligned?
@vrezhgulyan68348 ай бұрын
@@wrichiex yea no problem, the divider, there are two dividers horizontally, so the top two slots are separated from the middle two, and the bottom two are also separated from the bottom two. I really didn't like it since it felt like the handles were really colliding, especially in the middle two slots where I have 6 grips getting tangled together

Love your videos! So informative! Isn't the Vessel VLS Stand DXR a little bit lighter?

You know what, it looks like it is. I haven't used any of the VLS bags yet, so honestly, didn't even think about it when making this review. So that's definitely one to consider. That said, it does look like they're sold out right now on the Vessel site. So curious if that's a temporary thing or if the line is being discontinued. I'll update my written review as I learn more.

Thanks for making this vid. I was really looking forward to it. I have been waiting for a six divider lightweight bag. The only other one I can think of is the Sunday Golf Ranger bag that is coming out soon. Any plans to review that bag and do a compare and contrast?

Thanks for this ! Any thoughts/comparisons to the Vessel Sunday III bag?
@breakingeighty8 ай бұрын
So I haven't used the Sunday bag,. But considering the Air isn't THAT much heavier, I'd personally lean towards that over the Sunday. If for no other reason than the ability to more easily fit a full set, and to have the 6 way top.
@matttheoneonly66178 ай бұрын
Ended up going with the VLS LUX instead, it's heavier for sure but by the time I load it up with all my steel shaft irons it's negligible

Another honest review, as always. Is the color of the bag in your review Nightfall? It looks really black in your video. I've heard other reviewers say that Nightfall is more of a dark gray. I'm currently gaming the VLS DXR, which I love, but with mid-sized grips I struggle with club tangle. Hoping the Air has a bit more room at the base for larger grips. Keep up the great work!

i have 3 vessel bags. the player iv pro dxr is my lightest vessel and i like it a lot. but my only complaint is that the bag topples over a lot when it's full of clubs so i need to use the legs (which are carbon fiber and very sturdy). i usually try to lean it up aganst a wall when it's just at home and sometimes i will find that it has fallen over. the 14 way is also annoying with clubs getting snagged so i only buy 5 and 6 way openings now for all of my bags. my higher end vessel staff bag is very heavy but also very sturdy so it never topples over and i use that most of the time since i usually use a cart. i would go with the player iv pro dxr 6 way if i had to do it over again. i have black/red and love the color scheme. for comparison i also have the stitch sl2 (good), mnml golf bag (rain cover sucks), and jones stand bag (weak legs) and like the vessel player iv pro dxv over all of them.
@ashess5288 ай бұрын
Was intrigued by the mnml bag compared to the player iv pro dxl. Other than the rain cover, other thoughts? Thanks so much!
@golferdan9068 ай бұрын
@@ashess528mnml is a nice bag. the pouches are all magnet so no zippers. the hand paint of my name is a nice touch. looks ok but slightly fat on the bottom (a bit "dumpy" looking?) so i think my vessel looks nicer. tech is cool because i have the solar powered battery and Bluetooth music player. i actually use the rain cover and it's just terrible. pretty much just a shower cap...

Funny I thought my bag was defective. I have player III dxr and same issue of bag toppling over. It’s not even loaded heavy or unevenly loaded. Kind of frustrating considering the price of the bag. I have reached out to vessel but haven’t heard back yet.
@golferdan9068 ай бұрын
@@princey0gi yeah unless it's like loaded perfectly balanced or something the bag seems to topple over a lot. even if it's light weight (like one club) it's probably enough to move the balance enough to topple it over. So the bottom just isn't sturdy enough to hold some weight on it's own. the cart bag never topples over and is 100% secure and sturdy but it's much heavier so i just chalked this up to the compromise that you need to make for the reduction in weight.

I’m surprised you said you go for the 6 way, I just got clubs that I want to protect and I need the 14. Just ordered the iv pro 14 way yesterday

It’s more about the shafts hitting each other and every club having a home
@breakingeighty8 ай бұрын
Honestly a lot of it comes down to personal preference. Since vessel bags tend to be heavier, the weight savings of the 6 way is nice. I'm also not necessarily a super-organized person, so the 14 way just felt like a little too much for me. That said, if you tend to prefer the 14 way top, you'll love it. Definitely more of a personal preference thing.

i have 3 vessel bags, two are 14 way (player 4 pro) and one is 6 way (VLS Lux). i have not been able to get through a single round of golf without my clubs jamming on the way down, snagging on the way up.. it drives me insane. the only slot that never has this problem is the putter well. i haven’t had a single issue with this with the 6 way.

Can you confirm my assumption comparing this to a VLX 2.0 which has similar weight. This one has a large space (especially at the base) for clubs with a lighter material, while the VLX is narrower (still fitting 14 just less conveniently) and has nicer leather material. Is that a fair comparison?

One of the things I really dislike about vessel bags is the umbrella fastening, has anyone actually from vessel actually used it.? Here in Europe where we can experience frequent showers, We have a need to constantly stow and deploy an umbrella it’s such a faff with the elastic band and tiny loop…….. please Vessel just make a full length sleeve, it would be a huge improvement for us living in a temperate climate. Ps great review…..👍
