VHT also has the D-Boost, which is the FET boost that was typically built into the amp. I guess the ODS only had them available on a toggle switch, whereas a pedal with a footswitch seems a bit more useful in my opinion.

I've heard 3 demos of this amp. It sounds fantastic.

It came in today, I will test it tomorrow. I connected it to my guitar cabinet. On the back panel it says handwired in China. Almost everything now gets made in China....even my Panasonic GH6 camera...

How would the chromeback speakers compare to neo creambacks, there doesn't seem to be any comparisons of them to other speakers

Amp sounds incredible. U could play on John’s whole rig with his favorite guitar and ur still not sound like John. U will sound like u on John’s equipment. At a point in playing for yrs it happens. You sound plus ur fingers develop their on tone. And no matter what u play ur sound will cut thru it all. I can play like Joe Bonamassa but, it sounds like me playing like Joe😂

I had one.....doesn't even come close to a Fuchs, or a Two Rock. The cleans are good, but the overdrive is very dry and flat. Play a Fuchs and you won't go back. Mine had A LOT of issues out of the box. So along with the tone, I returned it. For under $1K its not a bad amp that gets you into the Dumble territory but still miles away.

Well for 1/3 the price of the cheapest two rock I’d say it’s quite good😂

Yes. It has that flavor. But you are right

Yeah been there. Wanted some Mayer cleanish tones and some older Bonamassa blues tones for myself. Tried Two Rock ts1 and Fuchs ODS classics. They were bang on but could not afford those guys. Came across the D-fifty and I was excited. But for some reason the amp lacks balls and spank, and there is that higher-mid thing on it that annoys me quite a lot. VERY far from good dumble tones, better off with a good dumble pre-amp like a Blackbird or a Van weelden into a fender amp.
