the trance like editing, lofi style music and non stop playing beat in background really work together to bring out the whole idea this video is trying to achieve, its like the video and music and editing are working together to create coherence between them, the whole video is an art form

I love 100% what Jaron creates, no wonder that „elsewhere“ is the most played song on my Spotify playlist. Unfortunately I’m renovating a house and have zero time for music creation, I miss sitting in front of my keyboard and being inspired by Jaron. I assume that I have to be patient for another 1 year, tilt then groove on

I'm only about halfway through, but this is an excellent video, brother. Love how often you just let the sounds and music speak for themselves, and you play beautifully too.

So cool to find this. I've been using this scale for years as my go to. Just stumbled across it through experience. I have always thought of it as a minor pentatonic with an added ninth. Pretty much everything I write uses it. Just love that smooth, emotive, but dreamy sound. I realized recently that I almost never use the 6th scale degree when playing in minor. I was seeing it as some sort of deficiency and have been trying to break out of it, but now I see it's just a vibe. Thanks!

Thanks for the inspiration, I started making music a year ago, but have no real musical education, so most of the time I'm looking for scales mark them on my Keyboard and start improvising. So I'm always looking for interesting scales and your "mistery scale" sounds like a fun fundation.

Completely stumbled on this due to the algorithm, nice one KZbin! My thoughts on this: it is still just the minor/major scale, except you aren't playing all the notes. Which is fine, just because you are using a particular scale doesn't mean you need to include all of its notes in your piece of music. There are loads of tunes that are written in minor/major that use only a few notes of the scale, but does that make it a new scale? Or is calling this a new scale overcomplicating things for little to no reason? Still a nice vibey piece of music, but I would just call this G minor.

I think this also is referred to as triad pairs, or this is one triad pair, but you can pair different triads depending on what scale/sound u want, I'm no jazz musician tho so I might be wrong

I agree the G hexatonic minor is the best fit. The central "mystery" of the key is whether the 6th is a major 6th or minor 6th. It's sort of like sus, but for minor vs Dorian rather than maj vs minor..

I would argue you're just playing a Heptatonic natural minor scale and skipping the 6th degree. This is certainly a more nerdy way to think about it though.
