I recently retired after playing bass for over 30 years. Love the vibes. Have started studying on my own. What do you think of the MalletKat7 ?
@VibraphonicMusic10 жыл бұрын
Howdy Mike. The MalletKat is very different than this...has its own feel. I prefer a real acoustic instrument. Cheers, Steve

it sound very like Mike Mainieri vibes with Steps Ahead.He apparently spent $100,000 developing his midi set up. Also I wonder why midi pick-ups died.The people at K+K said they were unreliable...Anyone?
@kobylazar66118 жыл бұрын
+FALCOY Hey, I spoke to Mike Manieri about his midi set up, check out the omega vibes pickup system, they are incredible and he likes them as well.

Does anyone know what sort of MIDI follower program he uses? I'd love to convert the audio output of the vibes to MIDI to control my synths and combine it back with the dry audio. Also, I feel him on the smooth jazz thing, that was really another nail in the coffin for hard bop and jazz fusion which I love. I play in a jazz fusion / prog rock band (check out www.StarMindCeremony.com if you're interested) and I really want to incorporate my tuned percussion playing in it!
@VibraphonicMusic6 жыл бұрын
Hi Sam. It's a Sonuus G2R converter. Cheers!
