I just 10 minutes ago purchased one of these on eBay for $15 shipped! I was about to pull the trigger on a 10, but came across this one, and I prefer the Phillips over the corkscrew!! You have officially become my go-to KZbinr for SAK’s!! Love your channel!! 🤘🏼

I have ordered two of it’s upgraded sibling the evogrip 11 over the years, the first was a gift for a teenage girl on her birthday, the second I gave to a cousin for when his then 8yr old daughter is old enough to use it. I don’t have one of my own but I have a ‘new in box’ tinker small and an early (black, non serrated) one hand trekker which was replaced by a rangergrip 78 as my backup knife in my bugout bag, I have a new evolution 18 which I just located and simultaneously found my Spyderco delica 4 which I hadn’t seen in a while. I EDC (in a Victorinox belt pouch) a tinker with translucent blue scales which was the demo at ‘Mountain equipment coop’ here in Montreal in 2014 and I have a regular (red scales) hiker and a wood/walnut hiker which I keep in my backup backpack.

I have the Evo-grip version and it's been one of my most carried knives recently. I love the toolset. I like my Cadet and my tinker. And this is the best of both. The "Cadinker"? My only complaint is that the Wenger-derived knives don't feel quite as solid as the classic Victorinox patterns. But for an office worker like me that isn't really a problem.

Not as solid? In what way? Do you mean the tools wobble or have play?
@fpassow12 жыл бұрын
@@rbs1889 More like thinner/lighter. Not a defect, just a difference in how it feels.

Now that Victorinox took over Wenger, I prefer the 85mm Evo's over the 84mm Vic's for my EDC knives. I was browsing through their on-line catalog the other day and it looks like Victorinox discontinued the Evolution 11, so I ordered one while they are still available.

The one pocket knife I’m afraid to not have in my pocket is also one of the cheapest in my entire collection. The Victorinox Farmer .

Nice , i bet MacGyver would have loved it ? If you see these without scales they have a lot better rivet on the philips/ corkscrew ! The Wenger keyring is also a pocket ripper too ?

I think that the higher price on the Delemont knifes is because the scales most liklig is more expensive to make, a Victorinox scale only need on moldning the Delemont need 2-3 moldings for the scale with the shield, 2 for the evolution scale and 3 for the evo grib scale. The shield on Victorinox is a stampd piese of metal that is glued in a reses in the scale or a hot stamped die mark like on the 111mm knifes.

The toothpick is to clean out lint from the knife.
