1966 was a great year for the Republicans-a net gain of 47 seats in the House of Representatives, along with gains in the Senate and Governors offices.

Enjoyed that film! Those were the days. Look at CA now. I'm a fan of President Reagan- IMO on a very short list for the finest President of the 20th. century. As for the Duke- it don't get any better. Two patriots- timeless patriots who loved their country.

On Election Day, November 8, Reagan trounced Governor Brown in a landslide. The final tally showed Reagan had beat Brown by close to a million votes, (3,742,913 to 2,749,174) or 58 percent to 42 per cent. Fifty-five counties went to Reagan, and only three to Brown. Reagan's fear that he could win a close election was totally unfounded.

This is a great insight into the election process as it was. The central theme is clear and that is do not hate your opponents, learn from them to win. Be analytical and not emotional to stay on focus to the central objective.
