The Video That Touched Over Half A Million Viewers

In the featured presentation this past Sunday night at the Tenathon, we accompany Rochel on her journey through the years, the immense struggles of her youth, her hopes for the future, and her gratitude when she sees her dreams come true.
This past Sunday night the Tenathon, hosted by Ten Yad - Hachnasas Kallah, featured a video presentation relating the story of Rochel, a young bride in the 70s who had lost her mother and was now forced to prepare for the most important day of her life without her mother to guide her.
The video was an original production for the Tenathon. The first of its kind film, created with the highest standard of both professionalism and tznius, was directed and produced by the incredible cinematographer Shlomo Chaim Rivkin.
Told through the lens of a young woman who is overwhelmed with emotions as the happiest day of her life brings up conflicting feelings of complete joy and sorrow.
The video was shown in segments with songs, performed live from the exquisite Tenathon stage, accompanying each clip. To reflect the themes expressed in the video, Shulem Lemmer floored the audience with his heartfelt rendition of the song Memories, a nod to the grandmother’s experience, Avraham Fried gave an exceptionally moving performance of A Hart Fun a Mameh and Eli Marcus lit up the stage with his hit song Mazal Tov, to the delight of the viewers worldwide.
The musical interludes were directed by Eli Marcus, in collaboration with the event’s Program Director and scriptwriter, Dovid Weinbaum.
In a touching moment towards the end of the short film, Rochel expresses the wish that no other Kallah have to go through what she endured.

I can so relate I too lost my mother before I got married and I had no in laws or a father to help. Bh because of our situation hachnassas kallah was started in our zechus 21 years ago. Ten Yad should go from strength to strength

Nice concept if it really was true. I was that Kallah with no family and on my own. No parents, no extended family, young girl with nothing. Yet no one told me about these gemachs, no one fundraised for my chasuna, and where I did try to find help I was turned away. Unfortunately the frum world revolves around status quos.

My mum lost her mother at 14 was sent to uk.then cheated on after engagement shewasxgoing to houseto get itready with brotherand they caught him in bed with two swedisch women.Oma lost her mother at 14 had to work in shop she wanted to work with children but her sister died too she later inherited shop her father had only one arm so i think my mum identified with her.

this is incredibly sad to see. why would a sephardic girl be different then ashkenazi? im so sad to read this. its not ok. just so you know it must have been like they say. met the wrong person at the wrong time. i hope you and your mother have only good in your lives. and btw sephardic girls marry ashkenazi boys all the time. at least where i live. and they are so nice to see how well they make it work. if there is love in the heart anything can work.
