Vienna boys Choir in shorts! Reminds me of the Austrian holiday I had some years ago in the Tyrol near Salzburg. Heard the VSK in Ely Cathedral in the late sixties.

Oh yes, you remind me of the big old days. The Schumbertchor under the Conductor Andy Ichochea was very successful. I myself enjoyed it very well back in those days.

In December 2009 I visited a concert of the Schubertchor in Berlin. One piece Hibiki alone sung together with the audience. His voice was outshining (!) all the people. I never will forget that ..:))) It´s a pity that I left my cam in the hotel...:(((

Matthew 22:14 "Many are called, but few are chosen." I think this verse from the bible describes how new boys are chosen to be Vienna Choir Boys. There are a strict set of guidelines for choosing boys. It is even more rigorous than becoming an Eagle Scout for the Boy Scouts. A boy must have the right voice range alto, or soprano, be 14 years old or younger to age 10 read music, play a portable musical instrument (or piano) and sing well.
