Bill Getty and Barbara Walters used Rosie to save the ratings after Meredith resigned. Bill Getty wasn`t planning on Rosie`s intelligence, media powwer, her own loyal fans, and the fans she acquired on her show. ABC should have went along with anythibg Rosie needed to fulfill another year in contract. The ratings took three years to get back to where they were after Rosie`s leaving. Nevertheless, he resented her nt needing the money and not tolerating his dysfunction..

@osuwarudo15 No, this was April 26 2007 the day after she announced she wasn't returning as co-host that coming September. The big fight happened a month after this clip on May 23. Rosie's official last day was supposed to be the third week in June.
