Cagney and Lacey is the greatest cop series I have ever seen, it is forever timeless and will continue to be part of television history, if you put a BRILLIANT casting director, BRILLIANT Director, combine it together with two Hollywood leading lady superstars with INCREDIBLE, OUTSTANDING talent and supporting cast you already have a WINNER, I love this interview, miss Tyne Daly and Miss Sharon Gless are very down to earth and so relaxed, great interview bravo.

C&L was a great show. It originally aired when I was in my teens to early 20s and I loved it! I'm male. It was a great example for young women, but it was so good that even males loved it too. To me it was a great "cop show" and great drama. Didn't matter to me in the least that the 2 cops were female.

Career gal(Cagney) and the family gal(Lacey)... they fit so well together. Even if Cagney didn't have a family, Lacey was the closest thing to family she could find.

Cagney and Lacey was a great, legendary show, and it was good to see Tyne and Sharon together again. But, I was kind of surprised, when they started talking about what Tyne and Sharon were up to, that they mentioned everything Sharon had done except "Queer As Folk," the show that she was on for five seasons. Rosie did a few episodes of that show herself. I wonder why that show in particular wasn't mentioned.

I love both Sharon and Tyne. However, it wasn't until Judging Amy that I recognized Tyne for the true talent she is.

I just re-watched the series and she won five Emmys on Cagney & Lacey. Just curious how you didn't recognize her talent on that show? She had so many intense scenes.

There's an interview I did with Sharon and Tyne from when the show first came on under the title, "Remembering Cagney and Lacey with Sharon Gless and Tyne Daly."

I have the book under that title by Brian McFadden

@@judyosborne They are so great Judy. If you have the book you know exactly what it was like when the two of them were fighting so hard just to keep the show on. I've never forgotten them. I an so impressed by those two ladies!

@@baileyellard1 I really enjoyed your book. Thank you for such a good read. Have you checked out Sharon Gless’ new book “Apparently There Were Complaints”? Released 12/7/21. It's AMAZING!! I also picked up her audio CD. Sharon reads the book! It's like she’s in your living room personally!

@@judyosborne I'm dying to, Judy. I was waiting eagerly for it to come out, then things got a little hairy with all kinds of stuff coming up throught the holidays. I knew I wanted it the minute I heard the title..."Apparently there were complaints"... typical Sharon. I can imagine the CD must be great. Just the way you feel having her in your living room...that's what she's like in real life, so down-too-earth. Thank you so much for reminding me and for the kind words on my book! - Brian

It actually wasn't the first. Star Trek was resurrected by the audience. And while you could make the argument that the result was a feature film, originally Star Trek: The Motion Picture was coming back as a TV series until, at the 11th hour, it was switched to a feature film.

The comment you replied to was not removed. It's still there. I saw it perfectly well. And if that is your idea of homophobia, you have not experienced much homophobia. As a lesbian who has been out since I was in college in the 1970s and who has experienced real homophobia I find it comical that you have your panties in a twist over something so silly when there is so much real homophobia to address. Put on your big boy undies and get over silly things like that. It's time to grow up.

What is damaging to our community is to call an innocent misconception homophobia, or to imply someone is displaying hatred when they simply don't know. What gives gays a bad name is when all they see is us getting our panties in a wad over stupid crap. Being uneducated about what gay people are like isn't homophobia. Just point out that we DON'T all look alike so you can't tell who's gay by looking. You have missed the point of MY original post, which is ignorance is NOT homophobia.

You should have done more research. If you look closely there was a message above mine which was homophobic, received many negative comments & was removed. I was responding to that message. You need to pay more attention. As an out gay man I love & support my fellow gays & continue to address homophobia whether it be in real life or online.
