The man is worth a half of billion dollars and probably figured aye I'm already set for and I'll continue to make money in films with somebody. He don't even have to act he can produce..direct and many other things behind camera. But ok they both were wrong. I understand comedians but talking about someone's health is like not caring about if someone dies. So if he cracked a joke about a family member with cancer on their deathbed would that be ok and oh yes Chris knew about her situation way before hand. He tried to smooth it over from the beginning by saying " Jada you know I love you....."and then he proceeded with the joke. Also one of my pet peeves on social media is that if ppl didn't see the situation from the very beginning they shouldn't comment. I saw it the very beginning. Maybe ppl will have a different perspective but ok whatever. I'm born and raised in Philly and I've known Will back in the day and I know he's not violent and I know he probably had enough holding things in being politically correct and allowing ppl to disrespect him and his family over the yrs and not saying or doing anything.

There are so much more worse things to be outrage and upset over than just loss of hair in life that I have personally experienced since my own childhood with being emotionally, mentally and physically abused by my biological father , I have bad heart murmur along with bad fused heart valves disease that affects me , my arthritis , my migraines , my eye cataracts to my Dyslexia learning disability for which affects me daily that I have to deal with my whole life for decades. My childhood and adulthood has taught me to rise above my issues and to face life head on while holding my head up high against things that tries to bring me down as confident determined strong will woman. Losing my own hair during menopause and postmenopausal is mild inconvenience compared to my much more serious issues in life. I wasn't affected by my own hair loss when comes to my mentality nor emotionally and I had not been offended by comedy hair jokes because quite frankly my hair doesn't define who I am as person. Yes , my hair is slowly yet thinningly coming back in areas where I had loss hair on my head except for my middle eyebrow hair loss with my hormones finally balancing out. I was lucky to be able to hide these balding hair areas with my longer thinner hair in hairstyles to be less noticeable except for sides of my forehead hairline and my missing middle eyebrow hair loss. I am not superficially conscience worrier when comes to my looks nor wear much makeup because it doesn't matter to me personally. My hubby of almost 30 years in two months has love me through good times and bad times of life's rollercoaster ride while he does still see me as beautiful woman and he does prefer me to have my natural looks over wearing makeup.

@ramonsantiagojr2 жыл бұрын
@@Greenz1100 ok perhaps there's an element of truth to that story inside the story but that will never be reason enough for violence in any civil place. Perhaps in the getto, but certainly as hell not in the Oscar's. It's one of the most prestigious events in all of entertainment. A place that in the past was exclusive to white powerful Hollywood elites. Minority actors and activists have been calling for change in the Ivory towers of the richest country in the world for equality racially and ethnically. Then will Smith looses all of his civility, acts like a high school punk, goes up on stage and attacks the host. That was a criminal assault and the only people normalizing it are people who don't want to see Will Smith close doors on other minorities in that academy and people who are getto themselves. Bottom line it shows that although he is now rich and privileged, he lacks class. Is it where he comes from? Is it his true mindset under the fasod of an A-List actor? The real A-list Actors would never act like this. We all know that. Will exposed himself and only apologized when he realized that he will be shunned. I hope he never sees that opportunity again. The world and kids who admire him saw that. We live in a time of school shootings and kids attacking teachers etc. There is no place for people like this in the academy. I hate to say this but Denzel looks more like the exception than the rule after this. And this country was starting to want to think otherwise. Just sad that Will Smith is not as classy as he was faking to be. It's not the first time he slapped someone. Check on KZbin, he also slaped a fan a few years back. He comes across now as a privileged new money wanna be with a deep seaded low life background. Just lucky to be there rather than being a trend setter we thought he was. Sad
@ramonsantiagojr2 жыл бұрын
@Ruth Esther what you said is right but not for black men. Sorry blacks, Hispanics and Asians are still minorities and I disagree with that part entirely. Chris is not scared. Jim Carry and many others are saying that Will should be arrested. Will scares nobody, thats why he apologized because now Will is worried about what the powerful board at the Oscar's and yes its all old white money will decide if this man will ever be in the elite halls of entertainment ever again. He said sorry now but it's too late. He acted like an unruly high school poorly raised adolecent criminal. He is the one who has to worry. Chris Rock by most normal peoples account say he handled it the right way, with class and he kept the show going. Will Smith Will be suspended so if ypu think that him and his black friends are running Hollywood, you are smoking something good. Recently actors and community activists have been screaming for equality in Hollywood and in particular at the Oscar's. Will and Denzel get in as token minorities both good actors but Will took a poop on himself in the public eye. There is a great deal of affirmative action going on in Hollywood for guys like Will to act on that high level but dont get it twisted. Will and his friends are guests at the table. They don't own the joint. Not even close. Please

I'm not liking this comparison of Will Smith's behavior to Hattie McDaniel's composure amidst Jim Crowe era segregation. It's implying that, as a black man in America, Will should be grateful that he is allowed to be at the awards ceremony as an honored guest, rather than as a novelty.
@kelliehu87492 жыл бұрын
@@thesingerintheshower I'm not at all saying "black man if they invite you, you better behave". That said if an Oscar is what you seek (and it clearly is for the Smiths) there's a legacy that you're joining, there are people who came before you whose shoulders you stand on, it's important to show proper reverence to that legacy. A different example, John Carlos and Tommie Smith they did something not keeping with convention, but it was to highlight a real issue. Colin Kaepernick another example. It's not about how you "behave" per se, but it is about how you manage the legacy that you're joining.

Chris's reaction of taking it like a man was textbook. He showed he was the bigger man. Chris is a comedian and there is no room to accuse him of being out of line not only because of the fact that he had no idea Jada has Alopeca, but everyone who is in Hollywood or understands comedian's know that is what comedians do. Chris was merely demonstrating what one of the rights that every American has to exercise is: "Their right to free speech". Jada even smiled at the joke and then eye rolled to Chris. Her hypocritical expression instigated it. You are celebrities and you have to understand your life is going to be an open box to the world. If you don't want the world examining you at every angle and commenting in every tone, then get out of the business. If you want an expectation of privacy then get out of the business. I have watched will smith's films not as a huge fan but to see what the movie is about. IMO he's no A-list actor. Maybe someone forgot to tell Will he can get out of character as Richard Williams. Will has even admitted that when acting he had to look at the other actors lips to remember his lines or some kind of comment like that. I do not even think Richard Williams who he played would have gone on stage and acted that foolishly. I will probably not be watching the King Richard movie due to Will's terrible disrespectful act. I do not see any reason why the new Bel -air show will have any relevance or even be considered to continue. The ratings will go south just like Will's career. As regards the Oscars, this is how low they have gotten! The ratings are a reflection of how disinterested people have gotten. Next time Will! Since you cannot take a joke and instead choose to wear your emotions on your sleeve and be a heckler in the audience. Why not just stay at home. Oh wait, you probably won't be asked to come back anyways. Chris Rock! Thank you for being a man and doing your craft to make the event humorous, even when you didn't even know Jada had Alopecia. Maybe because your to busy making people laugh on stage and not getting into fellow celebrities personal lives. Had that been Eddie Murphy on stage and Will did that to him. Eddie Murphy would have taken that as a "Oh, yeah guess what. if you think that was the last joke I'm saying about her. You haven't heard nothing yet young man"! Keep the jokes coming Chris. Just keep the foul language out is all I ask.

I would love to see him lose his Oscar but know that won't happen. And Whoopi, there is no excuse ever for violence! Will should have been arrested.

District Attorney, George Gascón is the Chief Prosecutor for Los Angeles and he can press charges against Will Smith, even if Chris Rock declines to file charges. Will Smith needs to be arrested for 1st Degree Assault and Battery.

I had to re-watch the red table talk episode where they talk about Jada's indidelity because I felt Will's behavior during the Oscars stems from the humiliation he has endured resulting from his wife's infidelity and airing of personal family struggles that have been picked apart and joked about. You can see here, Will looks frail and vulnerable. He looks emotional. He's trying to keep it together while he listens to his wife rationalize and try to minimize the events she took part in. You can tell on his face, he is struggling and going through it. This entire family needs counseling. Will is clearly wounded. Jada is toxic and in control of this relationship. It's clear he loves her but I just don't get that same vibe from her. I've lost all respect for him after his poor behavior at the Oscars because I believe he had plenty of opportunity to get control over his emotions before slapping and after slapping Chris. He sunk even lower when he did not issue an apology to Chris during the Oscars. I do not wish him or his family ill will, but I do hope he suffers the repercussions of his actions. If it means cancelling him and his entire family so that the gravity of the situation is felt, then so be it. They have plenty of money. He'll still go on being rich.

Will has NO ONE to blame but himself for accepting the terms of a woman who committed adultery and inflicted pain on him and their children -- he should have divorced her immediately and split half of whatever. She is wealthy enough that alimony isn't required and based on her "Red Table" discussions, she sees herself as some feminist equality leader - so she'd have no problem supporting herself in the future. Will is weak, a a liar and used this opportunity to reinforce their "marriage" in Tinsel-town when everyone already knows it's a joke. Jada holds a C-list celebrity status at best without Will and she knows it. She has Alopecia and goes on Twitter as if it's Pancreatic Cancer! Another drama queen who's sucking the Smith teat until some wealthier cat comes along to leech off better. I remember when they tried to pimp the kids off into Hollywood - disaster, and no, they cannot act. Chris Rock wasn't aware of what really went down as his joke was about a reference to GI Jane with Demi Moore - a tough character - that's not a negative joke - it would have been had she been suffering from a terminal illness - she is not. I hope they take the Oscar from him, fine his sorry @zz and ban both of them. This family needs to be grounded, since the man of the household, Jada, has no interest in doing so. Where's there's drama - there's Jada.
