Welcome to WaryTales. Mojo the Twisted Fairy is an enigmatic and mischievous magical being who resides deep within the mystical Whispering Woods. With wild tangles of chestnut hair, and shimmering silver wings, Mojo's appearance is as quirky as their personality. Known for their unconventional sense of humor and love for riddles, Mojo is a skilled storyteller who specializes in crafting dark and eerie fairytales that captivate and terrify. Their stories often feature morally complex characters and hauntingly beautiful settings, leaving listeners entranced and a little unsettled. Mojo's tales are renowned throughout the enchanted forest, where they are both revered as a masterful wordsmith and feared for their ability to evoke deep emotions and dark reflections. Behind their playful facade lies a profound understanding of the human psyche and a desire to illuminate the shadowy corners of the imagination through their stories.

I wish so much that every one of these stories were published , with the images, in books without end. As a person who wrote SO MANY stories when younger, dreaming of being an author, I admire your achievements. ❤

A little more Punisher than Batman but still a fun story. This is the first story of yours I've listened to and I'll probably listen to some more from your channel. I'm also a fan of dark fantasy and horror and do a bit of writing myself.

Thank you. Fun fact, I used to work at a toy store. On my break, I would sit in the back and read The Punisher. It's one of my favorites. I am a big Frank Castle fan. Do you have any of your work published or public?

@@WaryTales not yet, I mostly just share it with friends via Discord or Facebook. Something I've been doing recently though is trying to make up a daily fact about my setting using whatever set of random words my girlfriend gives me as a prompt. I'll give you two examples: Here's the first: The Hummingbird and the Train is a famous painting by Pontus Roy in which a hummingbird feeds on a flower in a meadow while a train rumbles behind in the background. The use of light in the painting is notable as most of the light is on the hummingbird and flower whereas the train is rendered more ominous by the shadows around it. Within most encyclopedias, the painting is listed as one of the first artistic critiques of modernity intruding upon nature. The prompt was: Humming bird, light, encyclopedia, train, painting. And the second: When the radio was first becoming widespread in Nastrond, one of the first news stories widely broadcast was about what's colloquially become known as the Cuckoo Clock Incident. Around the same time that the radio was becoming popular, there was an issue with fae leaving baskets full of chocolate laced with powerful hallucinogens for the general public to find and consume. One such individual named Ramirus Kolijin sampled such chocolate before wandering into a novelty shop selling Cuckoo Clocks. Being Nastrondi, Ramirus was armed - with a double-barreled shotgun to be precise. Hallucinogens, surprises from clocks and firearms proved to be a poor combination and Ramirus blasted away at random clocks in the shop until he ran out of ammo at which point he attempted to fix a bayonet to charge more of the offending clocks but was instead subdued. Miraculously, no one was harmed but Ramirus and his family were left with a record bill for cuckoo clocks which they paid as quickly as possible with a heartfelt apology to the store owner. This one's prompt was Chocolate, basket, radio, double barrel shotgun, Cuckoo clock

@@When_did_they_add_handles I think that's a really cool idea. I have participated in similar exercises in writing groups. I really like the humming bird and train idea. The hard, metallic train burning coal and racing down the track vs a small, delicate creature like a hummingbird and something as soft as a flower. It's an interesting juxtaposition. I love that you have a supportive girlfriend, also. That helps so much. Keep writing.

@@WaryTales I definitely will! You keep writing as well, I'm gonna try to wrangle today's prompt of Cow, watermelon, mirror, flag, chair, scissors. Think I'm gonna go with some kind of magic or ritual.

This is a good something different royals are my fave in historical fantasy. But there are other people in those worlds for people to rule over. I ignored them mostly in my writing.
